Hi, my name is Gerri and I have been lurking here and loving all the things I have learned.
I would like to start doing hair extentions as my specialty and would like to have clients sign forms for the service and contract ect. I was wondering if anyone knows where to get them or any copies of them that I could reword for my own use.  I would like to make my new venture as professional as possible since I will be charging +$1000 and up. Thank you for any help offered, Gerri

I think last year we had a long thread on this board about contracts.  You may want to look it up.

I personally don't use any written contract, I never have.  I probably should, but I think from the client's point of view, if they sign a contract, it's already set in their mind that they are going to 'get screwed'.

What type of extensions will you be offering?

i ALWAYS  have them sign a contract, it protects them and myself.

i wrote my own- you can just figure out what u want it to say, then make one up yourself.

just getting started to do extensions??? My encouragement would be before you start charging the big bucks, make sure you have done at least 10 full head installs, have pictures b4 and after and are keeping in mind the integrity of the hair and the health of the hair for AFTER the extensions are remmoved. it sickens me the work that is out there that people are charging to do.

good luck

what kind of extensions will you be offering, and where are u located?

extensions aer great fun and clients will love the transformation, as long as you preserve the integrity of their hair and are honest and up front with them.

Thanks for the reply,
I learned how to do the fusion about 5 years ago  and did some clients with that but I was never happy with it. Now I am doing micro links and shrinkies. I have been doing hair for 15 years but I haven't been working in a salon for 5 years since the kids came along. So I would like to get back to work now but just specialize in hair extentions.

I am trying to get a package together so I can give them to a few salons I know, kind of like a traveling hair slylist so I wouldn't have to actually work there full time,  just by appointments only for hair extentions.
I live in eastern  Pa.
Thanks again, Gerri

Hey Tangles,

What topics are covered in your contract?  I know I should do one, but I am too much of a weeny to have people sign one.

By the way, I'll still send you the sample of the seamless hair.  Just have  been side tracked in the last few days...
