Does anyone know of a forum or message board I could find people who might want to buy wigs?  I have 3 that I bought and never wore.  I tried two of them on and they were so hot I had to take them off and now LOVE my extensions so don't see myself ever wearing them again.

I figure since you ladies are all into hair you might know of some folks.  I have a dark red, a dark red with lighter red streaks and a sort of Beyonce looking longer brownish blonde, sort of like my hair now.  I can send pix if anyone wants to see them or knows of anyone who likes wigs.  Or just if anyone could point me in the general direction.  Our local paper won't let us sell things like that....health code or something weird.  lol

Thanks for reading this girls!

They're synthetic.  The lady I bought them from was the shop owner and, at the time I had a nasty haircut and just wanted to cover my own until it grew, she said human hair wigs are SO expensive that she doesn't keep them in the store but could order them.  I being the "Iw want it now" kind of girl I am just took these.  She charged me $100 each for them but I'm willing to take less if you like them.

Thanks for your interest!  Let me get some pix up.

Ok

here's some pix

The two red ones are very similar on the bottom part so I got the top of the streaked one up close so you could see the difference a bit.

Dark red:

Streaks close up on second wig:

This is just to give you an idea on length of both red wigs.  They're the same:

Long brown, blonde and reddish blonde streaks:

Beautiful curls

And again Length on it:

I'm going to measure the length.  They all have bangs as the ones without bangs just looked "wiggy."  The two red ones have the ends curled under in back and the streaked one has layers in towards the face in front.

They all come with a wig stand as well.  I don't reall know what's fair.  As I said, I never wore them.  I'd take $60 each for the red ones and $75 for the longer one I think.

The 2 reds are 18 inches.

The longer one is about 21 inches.

I also have a bunch of those hair clips and ponytail holders that are hair but they are all platinum blonde and I did wear those once upon a time and would part with them fairly cheap.

I think I'm gonna have to pass. They're very pretty, but bangs lookk rediculous on me.Plus I have been down the synth wig route.I much prefer human hair wigs.Your hairdresser is right that they can be really expensive, just like extension hair. But you can get some good deals if you know where to look.

They won't sell.

I tried that with the hairpieces.  Oh well.  The boyfriend is just going to have to deal with me having hair I never wear in the closet.   Looks like a bunch of indians scalped some folks.

what about donating them to someone dealing with  a disease and needs hair and cannot possibly afford a wig?

HA

Well, the boyfriend wouldn't be thrilled at all about that but I suppose I could just to keep from having them just taking up space in the closet.  LOL

I wouldn't know how to go about doing that though.

Cancercare.org !!!!

I donated 3 wigs this year to them... like you, I ordered 3 synthetic wigs
to experiment with wig-wearing, got them, and didn't like the way they
looked on me (just never did get them to fit right, maybe I just had too
much real hair under the wig?).

Anyhoo, the wig donations are tax-deductible, which was great for me.
Write a brief description for each wig you send them (human or synthetic,
so they'll know what it is) and the $ value of each wig, and they'll send
you a receipt for the total of those values. You can also include the wig
stands and their values, as well, also tax-deductible.

Their phone number for more info about donations is 1-212-712-8327,
or 1-800-813-HOPE (4673). Their address is

Cancer Care Inc.
275 Seventh Avenue
New York, NY 10001

I believe the American Cancer Society takes wig donations as well, check
their website, cancer.org
