Hello Ladies and Gents, I was just clearing out my pictures on my phone and putting them on the computer and I realized that I have been through so many colour changes in 2005 ! I have had Brown with Caramel slices, Blond all over with lowlights, Black and Red, Black and Blue and then Blonde highlights (3 times in the one month !) I went back to Black after this and was trying to grow the colour out, then someone said my hair was boring so I dyed it Blonde again by bleaching it three times in the one day I had it dyed Black and Red again and then I bleached it all over twice and went to the Hairdressers and they bleached it again and put Dark and Pink through it ! I am now back to Dark Brown and I think that I may leave my hair alone this year colour wise ! Do other people change their hair colour as much ? Does anyone else abuse their hair colour wise ? I haven't gone through the colour changes that you have because I simply love being 'pale blonde'! (Although I did end up with slightly darker hair recently~ although not by choice! :) I have likely abused my hair just as much though! (LOL) Simply having my roots bleached and toned monthly is enough~ and I don't think my hair could take much more! |

Lol I feel your pain pidric.Not long ago I started with virgin hair again for the first time since I was 15.I'm now 23.Then i dyed it red.Then I got chunky blonde highlights over the red.Then i got the highlights covered with more red.Then I Got thin more subtle highlights.Then I dyed my hair pink.Then It faded out.Then I dyed my hair dark brown. Not too long after i got bored.So i got allover highlights.I did that like 4 times.Then I dyed it med. brown.Not too long after i went all medium blonde.Then I went back to brown.Then I went red with henna.And lastly back to brown(current,lol).Good thing I keep my hair short or it would look pretty crappy. My biggest problem is I just get bored(gemini).But My new year hair resolution for this year is to completely stay away from dye. |

I used to dye my hair at least once a month. The only reason I took a year break is because I was totally broke. I'm just getting back into it now that I have the money. The things is I bore easily and since I can't really change the style of my curly hair without it looking aweful I color it. Thankfully my hair is really really strong and the only thing that fazed it was bleaching it from black to a pale blond (I didn't know anything about conditioners or treatments then and at the time I just washed and shampooed every day) so I could have blue hair. |

I dye my hair every month or more if I can because I have dreadful
light blonde roots and very dark dyed hair. I've been my natural
colour with just blonder highlights, then I tried semi-perm dye on my
hair in copper brown and it went bright orange, so I started dying it
permanent from then on. Since then I've had most shades of brown
(except ashy shades), red, black/red, black, blue/black, black/purple,
red again, brown again, black again, now it's veeery dark brown/red
mish mash...and it's needs stripping and starting again. My
problem is is that I can't stick to one colour and brand for more than
a couple of months, I just get sooo bored, and I'd never go back to
blonde because it didn't suit me. I've done all this since I was 15, I'm 17 now...so it looks like my hair's got a rough life ahead!! I do look after it though, it still feels and looks great (apart from the stupid colour at present!) So don't worry, you're not alone, maybe just tone it down a bit. One thing I haven't done is bleach the hell out of it. I've only ever bleached it once to lighten my hair..but it didn't work properly. And I'll never bleach it again! |

wow, feel like im at a self help group well, im a very serious young hair abuser! i started dying it in 2003 (am 14 now) after being taunted for having red hair, and have dyed it many many times since, blonde, brown, black, purple, vibrannt red, auburn, white, black and red, brown and red and then, being told to get rid of the last one (too distracting at school) and had to use so many hair dyes i turned out several different colours! well,all this time later im now light and dark and will go blonde soon. friends joke aboutmy hair falling out, i will stop . . . or at least ill try to!------------- random thought: do you think sheep shrink when it rains? |

Hey you calm down! You're worse than all of us!!  To change colour do you have it bleached a lot? If you do be careful with all of it, you're hair might not be able to withstand what you're doing. What condition is it in now? |

me? ... no i dont get it bleached! (to scared to!) and i dry it with heat ever and barely ever sraighten it. according to my hairdresser, its still in fairly good condition but she agrees that i should slow down and take a break, which i will do! it started off just to get rid of red hair untill im out of school! ------------- random thought: do you think sheep shrink when it rains? |

it wasnt intentional! my hair takes to colour unusually well, she put in loads of blond highlights allover with this light blonde colour and it came out white! x ------------- random thought: do you think sheep shrink when it rains? |

Oh Gosh, well i think im the worst here. Im 17 now, and maby dyed my hair the first time when i was 13. Since then i dyed it 112 times or about that o.o Last month i was black, then color remover to orange, then bleach, then used a platinum blonde colour( had it in 15 minutes) my hair did not change at all, then used Tints of nature in ashblonde made my hair a nice white blonde, then it turned kinda yellowish(damnd that nicotine) dyed it with Schwarzkopf Swedish blonde two times, i Also did a littel root tuch up With Wella bleach 4-6 stages ligther. All in all my hair is in Ok Condition, i have extremly strong hair. My Friends also jokes about loosing my hair:P buttemh well from colouring you can only loose your hair if you overprosses it off or you burn you scalp to hell! Its thinner in the ends and a few babyhairs broken off but it`s allright. So yesterday i dyed it to my natural colour, im hoping to try not to go blonde again...or for a while...^^ Im wanting to do a reddsih copperbrown with subtle highligths and lowligths in the underhair^^ or a Black xD MY Name is Moffpoff and i am a Hair Colour Abuser! ------------- 12 Inch Wawa, Installed with Protac, i love hair extensions<3

Phew, I am so glad I am not alone ! My biggest problem is boredom, usually when I have had a colour for two weeks or so I change it ! I am a junior in a salon and I think the fact I don't have to pay for it helps me in my colour experiments lol Keith |

I have not gone through as many colors as you have, but I have had plum highlights, I have had pecan colored highlights also. I'm on the other extreme, I constantly change hairstyles. One day I will have hairpieces, the next day a wig, and then the next my regular hair. ------------- one classy, sassy female |

I've done my hair everything found in nature and some things that aren't, but it's been over like the past 17 years, so it's not as bad as it sounds ^_^ . The worst I've done was dyeing my hair twice in one day, which I've had to do twice 'cause of horrible hair disasters. But I can't afford to change my hair too often, and am too lazy to do so even if I could, so there you are, then. *shrugs* Next hair project for me? I'm gonna put some really dark blue on my hair to see if it shows up right ^_^ . I've tried to do it blue before, but it looked green (whether I bleached first or not :-P ), but I figured a dark blue would let less of my natural hair show through, thus less chance whatever random goldy bits were making it green, would show up. *hopes* And if none of that made any sense at all, it's 'cause I'm posting at like 3:30 a.m. and am loopy! Very usual for me ^_^;;; ! ------------- More awesome than a manatee! |
