Hey guys.....I am supposed to do my shrinkies this weekend~  I can't wait! :)

I have read in numerous posts that you are NOT supposed to get conditioner in your shrinkies bonds.  With that being said, is it ok to get shampoo on them?

I tend to have oily roots and if I wash my hair every other day I am going to have to shampoo the roots.  Is it ok for shampoo to go on them and just not conditioner?

Yes of course it is chick, just don't shampoo your hair and leave it on whilst you have a wash, shampoo and rinse straight away x

Shampoo is fine. Like Amanda said, rinse right away and don't get conditioner around them. Pat conditioner on the surface of your hair if you need conditioning above the ponytail length.

Be careful what kind of shampoo you use.  I'm not sure how sensitive shrinkies are, but before I used a hydrating shampoo and it was just as bad as conditioner. I learned the hard way (loosing only one side of your bonded wefts right before you have to be some where is NO fun at all).

I have actually been using the Neutrogena shampoo for residue on my roots and then a more hydrating shampoo through the extension hair.  The clarifying shampoo works great since I only wash my hair every 2-3 days and my roots get a little oily. I currently have shrinkies in part of my hair (the extentubes are holding like crazy on the sides, the back is slipping out) and I haven't lost one yet.

Just be sure the shampoo doesn't have any oils in it, alot of them do.
