I currently use fusion method but am interested in learning micro-rings and offering these to my customers also.  One question though, ive heard that the rings with the screws inside damage and split the hair but what is the difference between flare micro-rings and pyrocondensation mincro-rings? anyone know?

Flare Microrings are like the hairlocs, you normally get them in size Large and Medium, otherwise you have to buy 30.000 pieces per color than you can get Small size also...

The microrings with screw do not hurt or damage your hair (I have them for 4 years now, and NON of my clients has problems with it, but they are more expensive than normal microrings), the pyrocondensation microrings are NO microrings, they are shrinkies without glue inside!!!

I make the bellargo knot in the hair, so the shrinkie stays longer..

Without that knot, I never get the shrinkies stay in hair :-(

Yes the ones with screw hold great! There was a contest in Germany for extension methods, what holds best and what is not damaging your hair. The screw Microrings are the #1! The screws are very very fine and there are no screws on hair when removing them.... ;-)

I wear them also and I would never ever go back to the old ones without screw. The old ones slip out too fast....

Microrings with screw are same kind of installing as the ones without.

The only difference are the small screws inside the ring. The screw is also covered with plastic, so no metal will hurt the hair...

They are more expensive than the ones without screws and on my and my clients hair, there is no damage.

Why is something, when it damages the hair, so many times sold?!

90% of the extensionist in germany are only working with the ones with screw. Why, when it damages hair?
By the way: there are lot of companies in China, and all of them sell different microrings. I only buy at my normal supplier, and I know, the colors are permanent and the screws are very thin, so nothing breaks and no color shedding on the ring itself.

let me try to clarify something.

the flare ends have nothing at all to damage. the only reason the flare is there is to allow a thicker strand to fit in eaisily. i personally have not tried the ones with screws inside,NOR will i EVER, however, as amanda stated, something inside holding down the hair CAN be damageing.

why is something sold that could be damaging??? people sell stuff all the time that can be damaging, they wont say, look this will damage, they will just sell and hope people wont realize the potential danger.

my opinion is this espicially on micorings, locs, tube or what ever else you want to call it, the main damage comes from BAD install and lack of knowledge and experience with removal.

I do locs ALL week long, they stay in all my clients hair, yeah they might have an occassional one or two shed out or slide out, however, the way i install and remove, is from a learned and trial and error and my damage ratio is ZERO. you can look at my work and see clients hair after wearing them for  over a year and have had amazing hair growth and health, again, its all in experieince and gentleness and care.

shrinkies- if you use the ones from amms site, and apply them correctly- they too should stay in well, yes i have used these too and they work great.

I too have tried the rings with the screw inside on myself and on quite a few clients. I have found that they stay in way better than the ones without a screw and I've never seen any damage from them. The inner ridges don't seem sharp to me at all like you may picture on an actual screw. Instead it just looks like tiny little groves that I find help out big time. I also read many posts ago that someone had  problems removing this type of link method. I find that I can take out a full head of these links in about 15-20 minutes without getting any mangled up in the pliers. Maybe it's a difference in makers/brands that have made people have had different experiences???

My advice is to get a little sample of both kinds of rings and try them yourself to see which one works for you.

i like the silicone lined microrings (without screw) im scared to try the screw rings and the normal ones dont stay in my hair

Geez, reading all that hurt my brain. 

I have never worn microrings, the thought of bits of metal in my hair... I dunno, Im afraid sharp corners will cut my scalp up or something.
