How exactly are you supposed to massage your hair? Isn't it supposed to be relaxing? Cuz however I do it, it doesn't provide relaxation, it's just you know, boring...I remember one time at a salon, when the stylist washed my hair, she massaged it and that was relaxing, but not when I massaged it myself.

Every couple of days, I've been scratching Jennifer's head for her to stimulate blood flow and loosen any flakes that might be there.  For the back, I work my finger tips into her hair so her hair rests on top of my hands and then use my fingertips or finger nails to gently scratch a section of her hair.  I'm not extremely gentle, nor am I rough.  I like to scratch it like I'd scratch my own head.  I then run my fingers through her hair so we don't end up with a bunch of tangles and then move to another part of her head.  I do this with both hands at the same time sometimes and other times I rest one hand on top of her head to help minimize the head movement while I scratch with the other.  Once in a while I just reach both hands into her hair and separate it, pulling each towards the side, gently pulling on her hair as I do it.  She says she can feel each hair being pulled when I do this.  She seems to enjoy it ... understatement :-).

To be quite honest, we both get enjoyment out of it.  She's great to me so I do my best to make her a very happy lady in return.

I truely believe scalp massage is vital(like excersise) to get the blood(and nutrients) flowing to grow your hair, plus it relaxes you, also which encourages hair growth, because the "less stress" you have in your life the better your hair will be, as well as the rest of You too!

I love to wear my favorite hat, it's kinda "Mod" hard to describe, tilted to the side. It is fun and functional, to keep me warm, also protects my hair from dry, windy weather, especially fall/winter. I also occasionally wear a baseball cap during warm months. I realize I can put on a leave-in SPF conditioner too to protect my lovely locks!

Ok sorry for my cup(mouth) runneth over,,...LOL!

I'll take it easy, You too, and God Bless!

I don't think I've ever heard of "hair massage". Sounds interesting, though. I wanna try it now!!

It's not really massaging the hair-just massaging the scalp to help stimulate the hair follicles.

How often should it be done? I like to think my scalp is getting it's massage during my shampoo (once every 2 or 3 days ...).
