I've heard a lot about castor oil... you can check that out. A rosemary or peppermint oil mix would probably be good. |

ITA with coconut and caramel on castor oil. It's really thick but good for thickening hair, and good for ends also. ------------- |

WGO dries my scalp out so much, but it works. The last time I tried it however, I broke out! I'm using MTG right now, no news yet. I've used doo gro too. I'm so biased against Doo Gro. I don't buy products from companies that don't take themselves seriously enough to spell their products' names correctly. I was an English major in college. I can't say if it works well or not. I just can't see myself buying a product with such blatant spelling errors. ------------- Hair type: who knows? On MTG, I noticed today that normally, my scalp would be really dry by now, (using it since saturday) and my scalp is clear and doesn't itch! That's the first plus with this product. hey Vanity...if you go to http://www.longhaircareforum.com - www.longhaircareforum.com and sign up as ( u don't have to pay to sign up) and go to the recipe section you will be able to find various ways to mask the smell of MTG. When I use MTG, I try to put it on in the morning, and the smell fades pretty quickly. It also seems to work as a general oil for my hair, because it makes my hair somewhat shiny even though I don't put it on my hair, but my scalp only and it works its way down. (this is when I use it on dry, straight hair....I don't know the effects on braidouts, braids, naturals, etc.) Also, if I put it on directly after a shampoo, it doesn't really smell at all. I've done the baggie method once (without a shampoo before) and my hair felt and smelled icky, so I washed it immediately. I use a combination of castrol oil, coconut oil, olive oil, and rosemary oil. And it works very good on my hair I think my hair is getting thick and growing faster ------------- Arita a.k.a Sexyyella316 |
