I've heard good reviews about the Solia and the Sedu. They're on the expensive side but people have nothing but good to say about them (especially if they've tried Con Air models or other things from the $25-40 USD range)

but I've never used heat tools on my hair, ever, so that's not personal experience.

Why do you want a straight-iron?

Because straight hair is awesome! I think wavy hair is better. I dunno...I let me hair air dry today with no products (I haven't done that in awhile) only to discover I have beautiful slightly wavy hair. And all this time I only thought it was wavy at the ends. Anyway...wavy hair is awesome and I got more compliments today on my hair than I usually do. People were like oh you curled your hair...and I just had to tell them it was natural.

Wavy hair > straight hair

Yes, that's my hair.. Thanks hon

However I looove my waves (and I loooove Arwen Evenstar's hair). I hope you'll reconsider the straightening.

Wavy hair is poofy if you brush it when it is dry or you dry it with a hair dryer. I just comb and mess my hair up a little bit, let it air dry and leave it alone. No puff whatsoever. I just finger comb my hair if it gets messy. You can also use a comb that is pretty wide-toothed.

And I will agree Anais' hair is so pretty. I'm envious of your hair.
