I've done my own shrinkies, falls, etc., and I'd like to try wefts next.  I'm wondering about the placement...if I'm using them to make my hair fuller, how many rows would be recommended to try, and how far apart would I space them (vertically)?

As for attaching the wefts, it seems like the tape (pro flex?) would be the easiest, but does it hold well?  If I want to do my hair with lots of curls and volume while wearing the wefts, would glue be the better choice?  I like to pull my hair up high a lot, too.  And if so, what brand of glue and remover would be the gentlest on my hair?

Thanks! =D

I put in wefts for fullness with the protac tape...next time, I'm going to try for added length, will see how that works...

It doesn't take much for fullness...I have three wefts (not doubled) in the back and two on either side...however, plan for the width of the tape beforehand put it further from your hairline...or cut it down some, or else it will stick out...

I'm not sure about high ponytails...I think that you may be able to plan for that, but I haven't figured it out myself...perhaps if you initially put the wefts down lower from your roots, the wefts will be able to flip up?  The problem is (at least for me )that it is taped down - and so you cant turn it over -- but over the last almost two weeks, they have loosened somewhat, so I can almost flip them up...at that point, I may be able to do a high ponytail...

I havent had any slippage with the tape, though it pulls at those annoying hairs that caught up and shouldnt have less than it did originally...

I did take two out because I put them out way too low, and it was a 5 minute easy job, losing almost no hairs with amms shrinkies residue remover...

Haven't tried glue...I heard that it was pretty messy...tape is very DIY...

I used the pro-tac tape and I can get my hair into a ponytail in the middle of my head.

I have also used LG glue and had good results with this also, but the instalation and removal was less than easy.  With the protac tape, install and removal are a breeze!!

I can do alot with my hair, about the only thing that I can't do is put it into pigtails without my wefts showing!!   But then again, I am a little too old to be wearing pigtails!!!

I have pro-tac wefts in, too.  I've got two rows low in the back and three going all the way around my head.  Then, I have two very small pieces above my temples.  I cut the pro-tac tape lengthwise on the top row and on the small pieces at my temples to make it more invisible.  So far, it's working well.  I can do a high ponytail because I left enough hair out from the bottom to be able to pull it up to cover the tape even if the tape doesn't flip up.

I've tried pinch braids, shrinkies, sewn in wefts, bonded wefts and now the tape.  By far the tape is the most comfortable, and it's lasting longer than the sewn in wefts and the bonded wefts. I have slippery straight, oily hair.  The two bottom wefts in back are looser, but I have them anchored in with shrinkies.

Monsterita, how did you anchor your back bottom two wefts in with
shrinkies? Trying to picture it, but I can't for some reason, and I'd love to
know. ^_^

I just took some of my hair from above the tape and some from under that tape then a bit of hair on the weft, put it all together, then put a shrinkie on it.  So, the shrinkie is just below the weft.  I did it at both ends behind my ears and one in the center of the weft.

I hate using the glue. The wefts always slide out after I wash them and it
leaves all this nasty residue in my hair after removal. I have never tried
the tape, I think I'm going to just try clip in's next.
