Ok girls, help me out here.

I have this fantasie about long blond hair. I´m no newbie to extensions, but I have always (since my early childhood) been dark in my hair.

Se my pictures, and help me. Would it look foolish to go blond?
If no, what color blond would you recommend?

(Nevermind the weird face. I was outside without a jacket, and we have 5 cm snow everywhere right now in Denmark )

I have been playing around with TheHairStyler.com, and have made this for you if it makes it easyer to the som diff. colours.

And at last, an Aguilera hairstyle I love. Maybe not on me, but it was really cool on her

you have a pinkish complexion so I would think the darker blondes/carmels would look best on you, maybe with some lighter blonde highlights if you like

Heij Girl! ^_^ Skandinavia rocks;)  i have to agree with them both, a Strawberryblonde with soft vanilla and cremeblonde highlights and some small light ash-blonde ones would rock!

I have to say I like the blond one on you too.  That would look great.  Maybe some strawberry blond blended in or light copper lowlights would look good too?

I can understand about the weather, I grew up in Minnesota where a lot of Skandinavian people settled in the late 1800's because it was so similar to home.  My grandmother's parents were from Sweden. Way too cold for me now though, I am spoiled from living in Texas for the past 20 years!

I am not familiar with the Bohyme color ring...Maybe email Kristen and refer to some of the suggestions here.  Sorry I can't be of more help!

BTW, I am really considering going lighter my self too.  I was blond as a child and all of the lovely blonds on this board have influenced me...So, much work to keep up though...

Hi, Synne! I agree with the color advice Kalika gave you above. I've got
pretty similiar colors that you have, and for me, darkest to lightest, #10,
#14, or #18 work best, with #22, 24, or 613 highlights. The "Ka-pwing!"
super blondes just seem to clash with my skin color, for some reason.

I know how the winter weather is!!!! I live in Anchorage, Alaska, though
it's a piece of cake to live here compared to the 18 months I spent in
Fairbanks, Alaska. Minus 50* F (-45* C) HURTS!!!!

Thank you .
Maybe I could convince you to send me some pictures of you with blond hair? That would be SO cool to se somebody else with the same skin tone as me going blonde.

In Denmark it is "only" -3 C right know, but the wind makes it all feeling a lot more cold.

Does anyone of you know if makeup could hide away most of the "pinkie" with I´m sick and tired of , without a foundation that can be seen across the room .

Pink skin is why I switched back to darker colors.  I looked terrible as a blonde.  Here's a pic from last summer.  I've got very dark brown hair now.  I hate re-applying makeup all day and that's what I had to do to cover my pink skin.

I did think the caramel with blonde highlights would look good on you based on the pictures you posted.

I'm another pink-skinned Skandinavian (Norwegian and Swedish). I am
naturally blonde, but my natural hair color looks horrible on me! I've
tried a whole bunch of colors but find that a very dark brownish auburn
looks best. It is the only color I've tried that actually enhances my skin
tone. With all the other colors I too find myself applying and re-applying
tons of makeup all day long. I guess pink skin and skinny hair are pretty
common Skandinavian traits. Lucky us.

Synne, I also like the dark red color on you, but maybe that's because the
color works on me so well.

Monsterita, you're absolutely stunning as a dark brunette!

OMG! I've got to try out thehairstyler.com That's so helpful!

I like to of them more than the others- the light copper chestnut and the brown one. You look really pretty with warm tones- probably due to those pretty green eyes *I'm jealous*

You look good with blonde hair also I just think I like the browns better. Either way you could try blonde and the worst thing that could happen is you have to dye your hair back brown- no biggie. At least your not blonde and thinking of going dark, that's a whole differnet story.... If you choose a color you like in the above pictures I can help you match it with a Bohyme or D-LUX color

- Here's my post w/ pics

Synne, here's a link to my post with pics from my Amm's Lush install....
you've gotta scroll halfway down before any of the pics are posted.

It's Lush #18 (lush 18 is lighter than Bohyme 18, which is more light
brown) mixed with #22. I'll probably go darker this next round and get
Bohyme's #18, more flattering to my skin tone.

I use a self tanner, and that really helps hide the pinkness of my skin (my
neck is very pale, so there's a sharp contrast if I don't use the self tanner).

That's a lot of hair, lol!

Beautiful boy...so sweet when they are young.  I love babies!  I have 2 teenage boys that are the lights of my life, but, believe me they are easier to deal with (and more fun IMO) at 9 months then at 14 & 17! Ha, ha

WOW!  That PH looks so cool!

What about going to a wig shop and trying on different color wigs to see which ones compliment your skin tone?

Monsterita:

I have thought of that to, but I live in a small town, and would have to drive over an hour to get to the capital city.

I have made an appointment with my hairdresser on monday.
My hair is allready suffering from perm and color, so she would not bleach it all the way. Well se what I end up with.
I´ll post pictures when i get back from the hairdresser.

Kristin, be ready to help med pick out the perfect color. I will be standing ready at my mailbox in the blistering cold (snowstorm are coming here tonight *sigh*) waiting to install .

Oh yeah. Sometimes when my 3½ year old really gets on my nervs, I think "What the hell was I thinking getting another one" .
Naa, I love my kids to the end of the world, but this 9 months stage is a lot of fun. He´s discovering so many things each day.

Oh well, enough babytalk. I´ll keep you posted in my journey towards going blond (or whatever I´ll end up with) .

Hello!

I think the blonde looks good- but perhaps a mix of a slightly darker blonde (like a color #14 or #16 on most color rings) with some lighter highlights (#22 or #613) would help you ease into your new blondeness and add some depth-

Just a suggestion. =)

That long blonde hair is hot, though!  And also- you look good with a lot of those different hair colors, really. I would imagine that you could definitly make the blonde work for you. Hey, what do you have to lose?

A color like this (#14/22 mix) is what I am thinking:

or this (16/22 mix)

Good luck!

My hair . I´m totally freaked out with the thought of my hair breaking of. It is so short and thin allready, that I could not bare having it break of.

As I said, I will keep you posted.

Kimberly: The weather here is now awfull. Everything is covered in ice, and the goverment is telling everybody to stay in doors.
I had to use a hammer to knock of the ice from my garden gate today to open the damn thing. The roads are slippery as hell, and the ambulance have to use tanks to get out to women in labour, heart attacks and so on *brrr*. I´m so greatfull for my fireplace right now .

EDIT: I´m retarded and hit the Quote button, and not the EDIT button.

Thank you, you are making me blush .

I have had PH installed before, but now I would like to try out som HH again. Because I have such short and messed up hair, and the PH is so shiney, it looks weird (and fake).

But I will deff. keep this and use it when my hair gets longer. I just think I will have to cut an inch or to off it though .

I think you look great with blonde hair.  I have used hairstyler.com many times and find it a bit of fun aswell.  I used to be really blonde col 22 then decided that I wanted to go dark so gradually went to a 1b.  I liked being really dark the only thing was my roots needed doing every couple of weeks and if they were not done it looked like I was going grey.  I changed last summer and am now a 613/27.  So blonde again now.  Enjoying it more aswell.
