For growth in the new year? I was just wondering I am
at 26" and realistically I would like it to 30" by the
end of the year. Of course I would like it a lot longer
than that although that is a great start and I am trying
to keep it realistic. Good luck everyone.

I want my hair to lap comfortably around my hips. I don't know what length that is though in inches.

Hi There! I'm at 18.75 inches right now, so I've grown exactly one inch in two months (no trims). This is good news for me since I was certain my hair wasn't growing at all! So, for 2006 I'm going to try for 6 inches, which means my hair will be 24.75 inches, though I would be very happy with only 24 inches of length by December 31st.

Right about the area where Jennifer's pants sit on her waist. I don't see any trims this year, so that just might be reachable.

I expect to reach 40" by the end of this year. That's almost classic I think... Whoa I'm excited now!

I'd like to reach 25 inches by the end of the year. I'm at about 22" right now. The longest it's ever been as an adult is 27 inches, so I'm pretty psyched. (Until age 16 in 1976, it was waist-length, which on me would be about 37 inches, though I wasn't measuring back then!). I've also been growing out my bangs since December 2004, but that's another story!

I'm currently at tailbone which is about 36"
I plan on doing quarterly 1/2" to 1" trims so that's anywhere from 2"-4" trimmed.
I would like to reach 40" and still be there by the end of the year.
Last year I had a similar amount of trimming and still got at least 6 inches of growth so I should be able to reach my goal with decent looking ends. As long as it continues to grow.

AnaisSatin, you are right, you should be close to classic at 40", depending on how tall you are of course. (I'm 5'3" - read on to see why that may be relevant for you )
I just got a very pleasant surprise when I measured, which I do once in a blue moon because i'm more maintaining than growing - I'm at 41 1/2 ". I thought it was more like 39" I'm growing a bit, but since I'm heading for classic I should be there soon - I'm about 2 inches away so I hope to get there by the end of the year. If I don't I'm going to review my diet lol.

I'm only at like 26.5" ... but for some reason it looks really long on me.
Probably because I'm 5' tall...
I'm going for as long as it will go. I love to shock people...I wear it up all the time and down hardly ever.

Great topic, TLSF! I'm *hoping* to get close to tailbone this year, which is about 35" on me. I'm at 28" now and my hair grows about 3/4" a month, so it all just depends on how much I have to trim this year. If I at least get within tailbone range I'll be happy.

Well....because my hair grows insanely fast...and provided it keeps this up....I am hoping to be at around 28-30 inches by Dec 06. Not sure what that will mean physically....past bra strap? That will definitely be the longest is has EVER been in my life!

Mine grows pretty fast too. I cut it back to 20 inches but hopefully it'll get to be at least 26-27 inches by December with the odd trim. I can't go without trimming because I'm growing out some slight damage from the semi permenant dyes which are now gone but left their mark.
I think I lost about 4 inches last year !

I don't measure the length, but its about bsl now, and if it sticks to its average half inch a month, this year's 6 inches will bring me right above waist length by 2007.

Hello everyone,
I just joined up but I see lots of familiar faces here.
If I get 1/2 inch per month of growth, my hair will be halfway between my
knees and my ankles by the end of this year. Assuming no trims, that is.
Hardly seems possible!

Tznius.com has a lot of scarves at reasonable prices. Other than that, I've
never seen any good scarf merchants online. The only place I ever see
scarves for sale is at department stores.

Hi Enfys and AnaisSatin. My hair is 40" for a couple of years now and that really classic. I want to keep it that length, however, sometimes I want to let it grow 5" longer. What are your hair-length goals?

Wow! 36"? 40-41"? I'm sooo jealous! I'm at 22" right now, which on me
falls about and inch or two below my collar bone. I've been keeping
measurements, which to my delight have shown great results.
( about 3/4" a month...I'd even like to say 1" a month, but for skeptic's
sake I'm just saying 3/4". I figure it's okay to be a little pessimistic when
it comes to this ) So, with all that in mind, I'd be happy to be at 30" by
December... my goal length is 34" so by next spring hopefully...

Wahey! DBF, good to see ya.
I know what you're saying. I've barely kept up here (barely!);
haven't stumbled over elsewhere in too long. I think I do owe you

TLSF This was a great idea for a topic. Very motivational for those
of us who are still growing! To think that I could reach my goal length by
the summer (not this one, but the next one) is very exciting, kind of a
reminder to NOT GIVE UP! Kudos, kudos.
