Hi all,

I personally want my natural auburn red hair, with it's natural Copper highlights.

I think I'm done with messing with hair color/s. I've been my twin sisters(she's a cosmotologist)guinea pig for years, plus last year I used L'oreal's "Color Rays" in Fushia, twice last year within 7 months, using big streaks of the Fushia color. Granted it added a fun look to my hair, but it was a bit too intense at first, I figure I got my early "Midlife Crisis" out of the way!I just turned 35yr.s (as of Jan 8th).

Hmm.... Maybe I'll get that Diamond nose piercing instead, forget the hair, it is naturally pretty, Thanks for reading.

 God Bless, Katie

I'm all for different haircolors, but I've found that women older than 30 somethings look best with more of natural looking haircolors.  I think you should go for that nose piercing!!!

Hi eatgreenjello,

 I agree with You 100%

I'm so over trying daring colors, I truly love my natural redhair, as does everyone else who knows me(including my Fiance' Steve).

I'm definetly considering a Diamond Nose piercing. I've checked it out on the web, plus asked women, and went to the "Blue Lotus" piercing/tatoo lounge in Madison WI> here where I live.

Basically, They pierce Your nose with a "generic stud" for at least 2 weeks, then (for 100 bucks) You can have a real (small, feminine) Diamond in to replace the original stud. It cost about 40 bucks for the piercing. So after care is 5 bucks, so plus tax, maybe 160 bucks altogether, (not a mathematician).

I figure I'll save a bundle continuing to cut my own hair, and my Natural redhair is rich in natural highlights and lowlights, so who needs to spend money on a hair stylist? I don't!

 Take it easy, God Bless!

Katie

I don't think it is so much the age a person is as to whether they can pull something more intense or wild off, as it is their lifestyle and personality. I've seen 60 year olds that dress trendy and have funky hair and it suits them well. Then I've seen 30 year olds who look ridiculous. I would say it just depends.

As for me, my hair color is not my natural color but it's not wild. Though what do you mean by wild? Pink and purple hair? No, it's not wild. I prefer my dyed hair color over my natural color and don't see myself stopping coloring anytime soon.

I'm 35 also, and I think what YOU call "early midlife crisis" I call "feeling rebellious." It's when I'm feeling like I want to do something "bad" -- lol -- like get something pierced. I don't feel old AT ALL so I don't think I'm having a midlife crisis when I get this way. 35 ISN'T old! Whatchutalkingbout?!  The nice thing about the hair is, it's a fun and easy way to rebel.

Hi Alayney!

You're right 35 is still young! I joke about the "Midlife" crisis thing, LOL!

I think that's awesome, that women as well as men do what they want with their hair. It's a form of creativity, and personal style,etc....

I know that I'm mellowing out as far as the hair color, but I just may(either try myself) or have my stylist precision cut my hair in a asymetrical cut when I grow it a couple inches longer, at my shoulders, not sure when that will be,

Or I'm thinking when it's my one year wedding anniversary(Feb 18th 2007), I'll buy a great dress, and have my hair in a sexy updo (just like my wedding) and My husband and I will see a broadway play or something, plus Dinner, I'm planning ahead, I need to enjoy the moment now, LOL!

 Take care,God Bless!

Hi, I'm only 17 so I like to mix and change.  My hair's naturally very light blonde but I started dying it 2 years ago - blue black, brown, browny red, black red, purple black...but currently it's mid brassy brown (colour still needs fixing on the roots especially) and I use removable hair extensions of vibrant colours (purple, electric blue, platinum), so it's fun.  I think I'm allowed to though, I won't be allowed to when I'm 50!!

aubergine, i've seen your purple extensions in a previous post. they look great. i really want to put some color into my hair like some crazy color like hotpink or purple. i was wondering what kind of extensions you use and where do you get them?

I think I'll still be into "shocking" hair when I'm 50 ^_^ !  I'm completely in love with blue hair, with purple, pure white, and bright, unnatural red not far behind ^_^ .  If I can't get the shades I want working on my real hair, I just buy a wig to play with!

I definitely agree that it's not about the age, but the attitude.  I'll be 30 in a week, but I have no intention to start dressing all age-appropriate and acting like a boring adult any time in the foreseeable future!
