Ok so I've just had some hair samples 2 x 4oz machine wefts from a Chinese Supplier one 613, one 4, the hair feels very similar to bohyme, it is single drawn.  I don't profess to be any kind of expert on actual hair.  I just buy it from reputable companies.  So my question is, how do I know this is remi like they're saying.... xx Apart from put it in and test it for three months xx

Can you tell by looking through a microscope?  I suppose that would only work if you had one....

I think it would be interesting to look at the various brands of hair under a microscope.  I've considered getting a kid's science kit just to do that.  But, then, I'm a geek....

When I've had non-remy it tangles after one wash generally. It develops a tacky kind of feel to it. The last lot I ordered that I don't care to think about (grr) was definately non-remy and despite looking stunning after it had been installed, it looked dreadful after the first wash. Just to check it wasn't my friends (the willing and eager guinea piglet) error ie using some ridiculous acid type shampoo (!), I wet a thick strand myself and left it to dry only to find that it was in fact sh*te hair!

So that's my experience with non Remy. Maybe it's worth a try!

ya know thats what sucks Amanda, theres no real way of knowing the quality unless you wear it for awhile! Ive worn some 'so called' remi from some Chinese suppliers that looked and felt beautiful at first. Ive had some that pooped out after about a week...some that made it to about a month before turning to crap.

You can put it under a microscope, but that still doesnt mean its going to hold out for the long run.
