This is what I've been doing today. It looks super cute, I'm really happy
with
how it came out!

Edit: Ok, I don't know why the pictures aren't working if I post more than
one. So I'll post them one at a time.:

Ok, it still isn't working. Above is one of the before shots, but thats the

I know! Doesn't she look great with dreads? I love them on her!

Synne, they are made with synthetic jumbo braid, and then steamed to make
the dreads. These are double ended so made first and then braided in,
rather than made on her head.

Here's a link that shows you how to do it:
http://www.angelfire.com/scary/mazzmatazz/

I don't use rubber bands when I do it, but thats the way they are installed.
Easy!

wow..is that really heavy?  seem like a ton of hair..especially on such a little person..very cool though!

It is pretty heavy, yes. You've got to be tough to wear synth dreads! haha. I
think I used about 12 or 13 bags of the jumbo braid. I talked to her
yesterday though and she said her scalp wasn't hurting at all, but the itchy
feel is taking some getting used to :)

I have always wanted dreads.I love them.Hers look great Dunebug,Amazing job.

How do they come out.Would your own hair be okay after you take them out,or would it dread up with the double enders?

Posted By: Dunebug
Date Posted: January 28 2006 at 10:07pm
Nope, your own hair is a-ok. it is braided around the dread (or cacooned
inside it, depending on the technique) You might get a little matting at the
roots, but no more than you do with any other type of extension.
To take them out you just snip the threads and undo your little braids and
the dread will come right out. Then you have a crazy afro till you wash it :)
