Hi I am new to this forum so please be kind! I am looking for someone who can give me some info on hair extensions as I have friends and family who would like hair extensions done and I have got a taster for it but I do not know if I am capable. I would like to get a bit advice, do a couple of relatives and then take up a course if I get on with it. Could you help? |

Welcome - I suggest you try posting in the specialist Hair Extensions forum where you're bound to get an overwhelming response to your query. (The Long Hair boards might yield some good advice too). WOW! Hello everybody, I'm new and am so glad to see how helpful, positive and eager everyone is in this forum. Wow, some of the dilemmas are also quite profound. Obviously, I'm a stylist who has been very fortunate in my career and am very fortunate to have the time to hit this goldmine of a site. Please don't get me wrong (all you suspicious minds). It's not the $$$, the goldmine is that I'm such the stylist that loves the desire, want, & need for better hair. The $$$ for any great stylist comes and follows after the care and creations. Anyhow, since this is an introduction thread. I'd like to take time to tell a little about myself. I'm quite proud of my little over 10yrs of being a hairstylist. I did start out as a humble apprentice, who worked under many renown stylists, barbers. owners, as well as the ones who were struggling. I've learned from all of them and learned from clients themselves. I've struggled myself from salon to salon. I never missed an opportunity for a class or a hair show. I did my own research on hair products, tools, and systems with side-by-side comparisons. That all enabled me to give my clients my best. Today, I am trying to balance being a wife, mother, daughter, salon owner of 16 stations, mentor, stylist, ABCH haircolorist, SoCapUSA Hair extension director of education & distributor of Hai Elite, and I'll add in eyelash extensionist. I love it all and I won't do it unless I can master it. This is why I'm so exited about this site. Oh, for you suspicious minds my site is http://www.TheArtofHairDFW.com - www.TheArtofHairDFW.com . It's just a little preview of my crazy but blessed life. Yes, it is all easy with alot of hard work and a whole lot more prayer. So please, after any of you decide to respond, I'd love to conversate over my true passion here, but only on the positive notes. |
