hello

I'm having troubles with my own hair.

I did a full head of shrinkies which i pretipped and coated with nail glue and within a DAY the hairs were just falling out, im talking id brush it and loose 30 strands.  The shrinkies were attached to my hair but the extension strands fell out.

THEN.  i did a full head install using KERATIN fusion glue and again, within a few days, after combing my hair these were simply coming out.

I dont have this with anone elses hair just mine.

What do you guys think i should try?  Should i maybe keratin tip and then apply the hair with shrinkies?? Do you think that wouldhold better?

I really need advice here cos im stumped. I cant think what to do and i have a bunch of hair here just waiting to be used!

Nail glue is simply no good for some people when put under shrinkies, it seems to have a slippery coating thus the shrinkies, even the adhesive lined ones don't hold for 50% of people.  I started out using latex and nail glue and had to change to something a little stronger as the hair was falling out exactly as you described for some people but for others was fine.  I now only use keratin tipped hair and adhesive shrinkies.  You've hit the nail on the head by what you're thinking of trying, give that a go chick.  I can't comment on the fusion because I don't know whether you mean it was nail hair or you did it from a glue gun and what glue was used cos obviously some are better than others, but if you don't have the knack fusion can shed like crazy too x

Its definitely not the shrinkies cos they are still in your hair so I'm assuming you used adhesive lined ones x

What kind of hair shampoo/conditioner did you use beforehand?

When I pretipped my hair, I coated each section with liquid gold, fanning the hair out and brushing the lg over the top, then rolling it into a stick shape.  Then once that dried, I went over it with a drop of nail glue.  I learned those tips from the extensions 101 tutorial (a godsend).  I didn't have any shedding at all.  Maybe the nail glue is not enough to hold the hair strands in place long term.  I washed the extension hair with dishwashing liquid beforehand.  And I didn't use conditioner on my hair.  Which sucks and was staticky as heck, but it worked out in the long run.

Heyy

I used a clarifying shampoo and no conditioner before both applications.  I do other peoples hair with no problems at all but they both just failed miserably on me!

I will try keratin tipping the hair and applying shrinkies, i still have a load of hair, glue and shrinkies so i have nothing to loose!
Watch this space, hehe :)
