My mom's hair started to thin out a couple of years ago. She is now 49 years old and you can see straight through her hair. She color's it black to try an cover up the extremely thin spots but you can still see them. She used to have thick  beautiful hair but after having my little brother at the age of 43 her hair started to rapidly thin. I am looking for something to grow her hair back. are there any really good products out there that can help her?

I saw an infomercial on tv a few weeks ago, the product they were selling is supposed to grow your hair back in 8 months but I cant remember the name and in my searches I have found nothing. anyone familiar with this product.

I don't know about the 8 month products, but I would recommend she use Nioxin Products.  They work wonders for thinning hair.  They have different formulas for different types of hair.  I am currently using 4c for Color treated fine hair.  You can get this at any hair salon or some beauty supply store may carry it.  Check out their website at http://www.nioxion.com - www.nioxin.com .
