I'm on my 2nd Pro-flex install...first one lasted 7 weeks and could have gone longer!  I'm on my 4th week with this install, but have noticed that some of my rows of tape are "gummy" if that makes sense.  Mostly the bottom layers and the ones on the side.  I did experience this with my first install, but not until closer to 7 weeks.  Any feedback?  Thanks!

I have a very oily scalp and my bottom rows get gummy within 2 weeks.  The tape is supposed to last 3 - 6 weeks, so you're doing pretty good with 4 - 7 week installs.  I'm jealous.

Blowdrying the bejesus out of them after you wash your hair will help with
the gummyness. I too have gummy tape syndrome, but this helps... they get
much gummier much faster if I let my hair air dry than if I blowdry.

Oh wow...I never thought of that, Dunebug. But I bet you're right. This install, I've been blow drying the bejeezuz out of it after every wash and so far, no gumminess. The install before this one was noticeably gummier and I did usually air dry with that one...

I just thought it was the nature of the tapes and didn't let it bother me. But you're right. Blowdrying it keeps the gum factor to a minimum.

Thanks for the tip!  Anyway to reverse the gumminess once it's there?
