i've just been pondering ways to get new clients in when i remembered a few of you ladies on here advertise your extensions on ebay and i was wondering if you had any success in getting new clients from doing this?

It's definitely worth doing.

eBay is always about the luck of the draw; some times will be busier than others. I found that when my advert was up there I had a few enquiries, some genuine some ridiculous, but I made a couple of new clients through it.

It costs so little to start a Buy it Now auction that you've got nothing to lose for 10 days.

I've been advertising on ebay for over a year now.  I don't bother with yellow pages anymore because I get all my clients from ebay x

Yes, Amanda, please tell us, how are you marketing yourself on Ebay.  It's so funny that this topic came up, as I was just in these past few days considering doing some marketing via Ebay!

I just might try this method of advertising.  I'm so tired of paying for expensive yellow pages ads.  I pay around $400 per month, and I honestly think I get the most business off of my website anyway.  Soon as those contracts are up, I'm going to only do a very tiny ad in the yellow pages.

Another good way to advertise for free is to get reciprocal "link exchanges" going ...I am working on this currently...this is when you agree with another business to have a link on your site for them and they do the same.  Approaching local businesses with similar potential clientele ( i.e. tanning salons, clothing boutiques, cosmetic surgery facilities etc.) can be mutually beneficial!
