I am over halfway through my second DIY install. This time with D-lux hair from yourhairshop.com (last time was with Plastichaar).
I like a lot of hair an my head, and I am soon running out of hair to put the extensions on.
What to do if I want to add more hair, and have run out of scalp? I havenīt even used half of the hair I ordered yet.

Danm it is just so much easier doing extension on a head that is not attached to my own shoulders .

Are you using weft hair and Pro-Tac? If so, many of the women here
have had success doubling and tripling the wefts they put on each tape.
I'm going to try this myself because I had the same problem. I'm going to
sew two wefts together and install them where before I had only one weft.
I'm also going to put a bunch of shrinkies around the top where the tape
would show but I really need more hair.

That always happens to me as well.  What kind of install are you doing? Fusion? Shrinkies? Micro-rings?  Maybe some of your sections can be made smaller.  With my 1st shrinkie install I barely got 100 Lush strands in then the 2nd I got 130, by the 3rd I still only got about 150 and Lush strands were smaller I think than the D-Lux keratin tips are.  Does it look like you still all the remaining strands to make it your hair look full?  You may need to do some creative strand placements!

Have you tried cutting down the tips a little? I cut mine down just a little and then the bond is a bit smaller. I'm more comfortable installing the bonds to less of the clients hair (or my hair) when they are a bit smaller.

Placement involves just packing them in. I'm working on getting you some photos. Check back in a sec.

Here's about where I cut them down. Be careful not to cut them too short or you might compromise the bond.

Here are those before and afters of me packing in the bonds!

I will deff. cut them. I still have to put hair on my crown, and here I would be glad to have smaller bonds.

I can make so small partings on others, but I really have difficulties making them so small on myself .
Oh well, practice make perfect right .

Thank you for the pics and advise. Your a  ....
