OK, for anyone who still doesn't believe a woman can look gorgeous with short hair, I submit the following pic from the cover of this week's issue of Entertainment Weekly.

Case closed.  Stunning, absolutely stunning.

P.S.  If you have the issue, check out the pics inside, particularly on the Table of Contents page.

I never said someone with short hair can't be good looking but I like long hair any day. Some people just can't wear it while others can't wear it short.

I'll vote for Natalie with long hair by a huge margin . She looks *good* cropped, but the buzzed look was too boyish.  I really dislike crewcuts or spiked hair on women, even beautiful ones. Someone told me recently that cropped cuts were going to become an accelerating trend in women's hair. How **depressing**, if true! (lol) Blessings, Bob

Looks way better with short hair...and if you're right about shorter cuts becoming more common, I'm all for that!

Natalie Portman looks gorgeous and has short hair.  (I prefer the other picture posted in the other thread).  She also looks gorgeous with more hair.

I think women who can pull of short hair are the most beautiful women...Cause me for example...if I was to chop off my hair I would look boyish...Natalie didn't look boyish at all...she actually looked very feminine and dainty.

The dark eye make-up makes her look kinda dangerous ^_^ .  I like that!  *steals her for the harem*

I too think Natalie, looks both strong and feminine.

Ofcourse the heavy eye makeup makes her look "Dangerous". Natalie is a Harvard Grad, and I like actress' with a brain and natural beauty, and Talent too.

I can't wait to see Natalie's new movie,"V for Vendetta" Ever since her movie role in "Closer" I have loved Natalie as an actress!!!

I love Matt Damon as an Actor too.

It is true that actresses with what we consider traditionally beautiful features, usually look good with either short or long hair. On the other hand, there are some faces that are really only right for either short or long hair.

 Hey, Very Cool,

 Natalie should be President!

Also, if I was a Lesbian, I'd want her so bad, next to Halle Berry(ofcourse) LOL,;)

Yeah...Like Halle Berry...

She looks nice with long and short hair...but there's something more sophisticated about her with short hair...Like she stands out more...With long hair she looks like any other person.

I think she looks fantastic. Better yet, we get to see lots of fun short
styles on her as she grows it out.

Agree with the both sides on this one yeah she can pull the short hair look off. No big deal. But I like long hair. Sorry personnel taste. Anyway I have question did the moive do well? As someone pointed out on other hair cut type moives they for some reason don't really do well. Catwomen,GI Jane and I think there are others.

Strange, but for me Natalie never seems to grow up: she seems to be going through a 20 year adolescence (and her hair doesn't change that).

I think she looks too hard with her hair cut like that.  And the make-up is too heavy.  I personally like long hair anyway, but I have seen softer short cuts than that which are much nicer.

Yes - more feminine.  Let's hope there's not another film part that requires her shaving it all off again though! :)

Yes, that is apparently the way Seraphina sees it.  I don't see a problem with her wording.   Some of the short hair fans here are far more strident in their exclamations for certain short looks.

I realize that's the way she sees it.  I wasn't criticizing her wording.  My comment was meant to express exasperation with the concept that women look more feminine with long hair.  If I inferred too much, I apologize.

And again, regarding the EW cover pic or the other EW pics, I don't see how anyone can say she is not gorgeous, feminine, sexy,...  Also, the EW cover  was voted the best EW cover of last year.

Looks like she's going for a straight grow-out. I'm bummed she didn't keep it short for a while and experiment with some pixie-ish styles. She's got a great face for it.

She kept it short for about a year didn't she?
