Hello there! Yes, this is little miss cranky pants that started that
whole todo with a return on some hair, but that's over so let's move
forward and get back to hair business shall we?
Pardon the pics, I've been trying forever to snap some here and there
as I've been out and about. This is all I have at the moment. Also
please excuse the fishnets and Madonnaesque thing..it was a themed
party..long story.
Okie dokie, I installed about 6oz of Boyhme Bodywave machine wefted
hair via protac and this stuff is awesome!! I did 4 rows on the back
and 2 little rows on each side of my head. It is way more comfortable
than braided weft and even the strand by strand methods since it lays
so flat. There was also 0 soreness from this install!
The hair is great. No complaints. Minimal shedding. This is it for me.
I'm sold. I told myself if it lasted even a few weeks, I'd stick with
this method and hair. I'm on week 3 and it still in there! I'm going to
remove next weekend, get a scalp massage, good shampooing, dyeing of
the roots and back in it goes! I think I actually prefer to take the
extensions out every month so I can let the natural shedding come out
so it's not so itchy and so it's always has enough hairs to support the
wefts. Gives the scalp a breather too. The awesome thing about the tape
is that it so freaking fast, it's not a big chore to put back in.
What else? I used a clarifying shampoo twice with NO conditioner before the install which I'm sure has helped them stick.
I have also washed my hair everyday for the whole time. I know I'm not
supposed to, but I go to the gym alot and have to wash the sweat out of
my hair or I would be stinkypoo girl.
I've had a few haircuts until I got it just where I liked and I try new
ways to wear the hair all the time! Spiral curls...crimped..flat
ironed..waves from braiding...buns..etc.
I'll let everyone know how my removal goes. I've got my shrinkies
orange remover on standby and a deep conditioner that looks like
crisco! I figure with the two of those, they'll slide out fairly easy.
*fingers crossed*
Let me know if I missed anything or you have any other questions on my install!

HOly Smoke!!
It never ceases to amaze me that I, who has had every conceivable type of hair extension in existence, see pictures like yours and can NOT tell it's not your own hair!! It looks fantastic! Color, length, placement, everything.
Way to go with the pro-tac. No need to worry about taking them out. Shrinkies.net remover will have them out it 90 seconds. I do it like you do: take everything out once per month, touch up roots, trim, and reinstall. The orange remover is all you'll need.
That is some flaming beautiful red hair. Great job.

Great pictures! Your hair looks fabulous. Where did you end up buying
that Boyhme? I'm in SoCal as well and may want to upgrade my hair
eventually...wondering which local merchants sell the good stuff and if
you were satisfied with their service?

Thanks guys
Oh and Kristie M, I ended up buying my hair at a place at Wilshire and
Cloverdale (just past La Brea). All there info is at
http://www.hairpiece.com/contact.asp
They are a bit pricey, I think my boyhme 4oz packs were around 135, but
in a pinch when you need hair, you need hair. The store is huge and
carries all the boyhme textures, lengths and colors. They also have
other brands of hair including their own brand. From what I gathered
from a fellow shopper in the store the 909 silky is the only safe bet
if you want to get something slightly cheaper than bohyme.
Even if you buy from a place cheaper online, you can go in there and
check out colors and stuff so you know exactly what to order to avoid
returns and so on.
Hope that helps!

Oh and yes, totally nice folks in the store! They also host extension
classes and have all supplies for all the methods. Great local
resource. I spent 3 hours in there wandering around like a kid in a
candy store!
The only thing they dont have is the protac..

Thank you SOO much. Sometimes I just can't delay my gratification. I'm
thrilled to know there is a reputable place close by for a quick fix should
an attack of extension withdrawal become unbearable.

Another question about the hairpiece.com store -- If you go into the
store will they sell to you if you're not a licensed cosmetologist? I noticed
on the website that it was for licensed professionals only? I was
impressed by their range of products and late business hours. I'm
actually up in that part of town late in the afternoon every other
Thursday, so it would be great if they'll sell to a lowly DIY like me!

I don't have a license and they sold to me..they didn't even ask me if
I had one. You should be fine. Just don't point out that you don't have
one ;)

Thanks for the information. Cool! I may not be a cosmetologist but I
could sure play one on TV.

Totally awesome and inspiring!
Im going to be doing a pro-tak with bohyme body wave install this week and I hope mine comes out half as good as yours. The only thing Im worried about is that I didnt get enough hair. I only got one weft. In the past when Ive done wefts Ive only used one and often times had a few inches left over. Ill see how this goes and maybe Ill order another weft for the redo later.
Great Job!!!
