Here is my History:
Natural Haircolor: Dark Brown
Last Summer: Did double process and went to very light blonde
Every 4 weeks use Clairol HL Neutral Blonde and 40 developer just on my roots-This was lifting to a pretty very light goldish blonde due to the dark brown of my natural hair color it pulls gold
About a month ago I realized I was developing a gold band from where I initally bleached out my hair and where I have been coloring my regrowth. The band is from my scalp to about 3-4 inches down and was really starting to show. I actually kind of liked the gold tone blonde of the gold band where I was coloring my regrowth.
I was thinking about having the gold band (double processed) bleached out and toned to even out the color or putting some sort of rinse or color on the "platinum part of my hair" to match the new gold band regrowth.
I went to my stylist who cuts my hair and has done my roots in an emergency becuase I usually do my roots at home myself. We discussed my options. She suggested lowlights all over to blend the gold band without having to bleach out my hair again. Well, the lowlights turned out too dark. I want to be all over blonde again.
Someone posted a suggestion of going to Sally's and using Colorfix but I was too scared. My hair has already been through a bleaching process to get it all over blonde in the first place.
I went back to my stylist and she added highlights all over through my hair to brighten the overall look of my hair. She suggested this as a step one to see if I would be satisfied. She didn't want to do the wear and tear of stripping and/or bleaching to pull the lowlights out. She was thinking of a less damaging way to correct my problem. It does look better, but I still have brown streaks throughout my hair and I can still see the gold band.
I read about a flash toner on this forum and tried to get more info but nobody responded. Any suggestions? Use Colorfix and then recolor over again? What is going to be safe on my double-processed hair? A week ago she put the highlights in and I'm sure that has probably weakened my hair even further. I just want to be back to a solid all over blonde again. Help!
