My hair is currently faded bright red, and I was thinking of switching to this for a while -

What do you think? What colour should I use, keeping in mind I have some red in my hair? Should I fade it a little more first? I want to get a pretty intense colour, like almost bright orange but not quite, a slightly more realistic colour. What should I plop on my hair to get something like that? Blonde dye maybe? That might work, if it's a yellow tone, the "Missing" bit of my red that's faded will be replaced by that and make a red-orange.

Faded bright red from bleaching and toning it or using single process color?  What have you done to your hair so far?

You could always strand test a color to see if you can get what you want.

One more thing...that shade really looks like it's tone on tone red.  I think there's a base color sort of orangey red and then some bleached lighter red/orange highlights around the face.

I've seen people with hair colour like that flat colour though. Highlights *would* be a nice idea, I might try them.

I'm hoping I can bleach my hair to blonde some day though. When it gets a bit longer and I can afford to cut it short again.

I've only had bright orange hair by accident, when I used what was supposed to be an auburn brown shade of Herbal Essences dye -_-;; .  I thought it would turn kind of coppery, but it went way orange, so I had to put brown over it before it would go the coppery auburn I'd expected.  Not sure if it would work the same on you or not, but maybe worth a try.

Do you think dying my hair blonde would work? Or just bleaching it? Last time I bleached red out it to try and get a similiar colour it came out a dull orange that didn't suit me; I only suit rich colours.

Yeah, bleaching seems to make a very dull orangey shade.  Maybe if you bleached it, and put something a bit richer over it. . .
