does anyone know any safer ways to dye hair. i always think i have a problem within my body when i probably dont but im afraid that permanent dye potentially causes cancer. im only 17 and i have many white hairs. i will have to dye my hair many times throughout my life. i've been looking up info. on cancer and hair dyeing and no one has confirmed answers although some information stated on many sites but said are not confirmed are that dark hair dyes may make risk of cancers higher and those exposed to the fumes of color are at high risk also, while others state that their is no relation to cancer by using hair dye. Does anyone have anymore info on haircolor? or know any products i can use that do not contain harmful chemicals or that are less risky? thanks in advance.

My Grandmother is about 96 and she dyed her hair black for many many years...she never got cancer. I'm not so sure dark dyes do cause cancer...it's probably more likely some of the FOOD we eat that does it...

If you're really worried, maybe you could look into hennas or vegetable dyes. . .
