Date Posted: February 18 2006 at 11:10am I want to break my base and go from a 4-5 reddish brown to a 7.  ( I have previously colored and highlighted but have used colorfix twice with no problems).   Am I better off bleaching or coloring?  If coloring which color and how much developer?  My hair is very porous.  I strand tested a Clairol moongold 7 and it came out darker than my own color and way too green.  (my hair pulls red so I thought green would help.  But now I think I am better off with a blue base). I was aiming for moodgold 7 but will settle for 34D hazy mist. Any suggestions?
