According to this site http://mhrw.com/c_optitape42.html - http://mhrw.com/c_optitape42.html  Opti-tape can last up to 6 weeks where as Proflex only lasts up to 3 however the pic of the Opti-flex has Proflex written on it?  Are these both then by Proflex only different glues on?

Those of you who currently wear proflex how long is it lasting for you before it needs maintained?

xx

I dont know anything about the Pro-flex. But the Opti-tape and the Pro-tac (the one most of us are using) look to be the same thing. Only the opti-tape is cut into 1.5 x 4 inch strips. The pro-tac that most of us are using is 1.5 x 12 inch strips. And if the Opti-tape is indeed the same as the Pro-tac then it definitely is true to its claim of holding 6 weeks.

I'm confused.  There are no photos of the Pro-Flex except for in the roll form, which is definately not the same tape that is sold as Pro-Tac on shrinkies.net.  However, as Sherrie stated the Opti-tape looks the same as Pro-Tac with the same estimated wear duration.

Any photos available of the actual Pro-Flex tape (not the roll)?

I guess that it would have to be opti-tape then since pro-flex II is supposed to only last for 3 weeks and from the only photo I could see was not blue and white like the Pro-Tac.  I believe that Opti-tape and Pro-Tac are the same tape and that Pro-Flex II is different.

The one I have in my hair is Proflex and its exactly the same thing as Protac.  I think they just have different names for them.  The pictures of the ones I bought are exactly as the ones shown in pictures on this forum

Aah, maybe there is a proflex and proflex II?  I guess what matters is to be sure that they look the same...?

Oh my its all very confusing, lol.  The pictures aren't very clear on the site.  If everyone is having good reviews of the pro-tac then that wins for me. Thanks for the imput. x

can I just ask a quickie about the tape.  Does this stuff stand up to being washed etc.  I only need it for a couple of top tracks (rest is sewn), but I feel that the glue is not doing my hair any good.  So I am looking for something that can stand up to water (also going on holiday too, so sea water aswell lol

There is the original Pro-Flex, which is the same as Pro-Tac, and then there is the Pro-Flex II which I believe is on the roll.
