Hellooo, I'm bored with brown hair already. The reason being it's not actually a definitive brown, it's just a mess. As I have mentioned before my dyed hair grabs colour well, but my roots don't - this creates a rainbow of colours on my hair. At the moment it is light blonde roots which haven't taken (so a bit orangey) then it fades to light brown, then to a darker brown towards the bottom. But the brown looks dark brown/black inside and mid orange brown outside...so I'm not entirely sure what colour it is anymore!!! I want a change though. I'm cool coloured (grey blue eyes, pale pinky face, light blonde hair naturally), but I can't get orange and red out of my hair, even if I use ash tones. I've recently been making my own extension streaks and they're pretty good, but my base colour's awful. So I figured I might do dark red - I just don't know 1) what kind of dark red or 2) if it would suit me. Please could you give me any suggestions, also talking me through the process I'd have to go through, or any dyes you'd recommend? My hair is very porous now, except on my hideous roots.

longer and more layered, more like a grown out bob now. |
