What brands or hair care products have you tried that you highly reccommend?.. for dry hair, blonde hair, brown hair, etc

In particular, I was wondering if anyone has tried a good purple shampoo/conditioner for blonde hair that you could suggest?  It's supposed to neutralize the yellow, but does it even work?
