I'm looking for advice on how to achieve this hairstyle. Specifically, how it is styled (what product would be good to use, and does it require blow dry, etc.). My hair is straight and on the fine side.

Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It might be difficult if your hair is naturally straight.  It looks to me like his is naturally wavy so when cut that short on the sides it lays flat, but slightly longer on top makes the waves appear a little.  After that it looks like maybe a little gel was added to the top and just mussed around and left to dry. Since your hair is straight, it would be difficult to get curl in it at that length, and yours would likely either lay flat or stand up on top.  You could still cut it that way, add gel and muss it around though, but you'd get a spiky look instead of a rolling curly look.
