I washed again last nite after the protein overload
incident ( i posted lol) and didnt use protein but i
deep conditioned for a while and what do u know,,
im stil having breakage!! ,, just these stupid little
ends that bend and break and i know i havent done
any real trims in a while but i like to search and
destroy better but this just really makes me
 depressed
,, this is another reason why i will never relax again becuz it just weakens the hair sooo
much GRRRR and i have this fear of being left with a
 mullet again
even tho i know that it wont happen i just wanna hold on to the length i have
even tho it is damaged and it seems like i think im
doing the right thing but something always goes
 wrong!!!

          | I hear you Cookie!  My hair always grows out to a certain length every two months, and then I start noticing split ends or breakage!!.. I guess my hair is used to regular trims.  I know how it feels to retain length because ever 2 months or so I question whether or not I should cut.. because I feel like I'm starting over.  But if you really wanna start some point of healthy hair..I recommend you go for it and get it cut.. It's just hair..it'll grow back.. as long as you treat it right.  It'll probably grow back faster than you know.  I dont know much about hair but I'm learning..so theres my 2 cents |

          | Sorry to hear that Cookies!  Did you just recently get a relaxer?  It must be so discouraging to get that length and then everything go pot after that.  Hopefully the breakage will slow down soon and you can work with what you have.

          | Sorry to hear about the breakage cookies but ITA with pickled you should go ahead and trim the hair. If you use heat maybe give the hair a rest fromt heat and do CW and braidouts or twist with shea butter to put moisture back in your hair Good luck!

No R2D,, i am transitioning about 6 months now
with no issues there and the breakage is coming
from near the ends so its not the demarcation point
problem ,, the part thats breaking is the old relaxed
ends!! theyre just so weak that im not sure anything
can save them at this point and im sort of relieved to
let some of them go,, the breakage isnt causing any
reduction in my total length but just these short hairs
here and there and im scared it'll all break in time,,,,
what I did today was a really thorough search and
destroy and found many more damaged ends
   and got rid of them
but i know i probably need a good half inch to and inch trim but Im a stubborn
 girl!!

          | Trim those ends cookie!...lol  I used to be the same way and sometimes I still am.  I wanted to hold onto my length rather than trim but I found out that was what was holding me back.  When I started to trim regularly I noticed more growth because my hair was healthier and not breaking as much because the ends were healthy.  I only trim maybe every 3 or 4 months (more or less depending on how my hair looks) and I do seek and destroys monthly.  When I do get it trimmed I only have to take off a dusting (not even a half inch) so you won't be loosing much and your hair will really benefit.  Also, it will feel great to get those relaxed ends off faster.  HTH
