Hi, my hair is kind of thin (it doesn't look like I am balding or anything (yet) but sometimes you can see some of my scalp if my hair is quite short).

I noticed one of my roomates has a shampoo that supposedly has nutrients that help thicken hair.  I was just wondering if this stuff actually works or is just a scam to sell more shampoo?

I don't think there is anything that's going to really thicken hair.  This shampoo may do something like putting a coat of silicone on each hair to add bulk and make it feel thicker, but frankly, so does my regular conditioner and I wouldn't say my hair really feels any thicker for it.  If he feels it actually does something, come back and let us know!
