Well I decided to try the Pro-10. I installed with Pro-tac again and I sure love the tape....It took about 2 & 1/2 hours...with lots of breaks and interruptions! So, had I stayed right at it it would have probably been an 1 & 1/2 hour install. I used 2 full packages of hair. So I guess around 8 ounces as usual for this length of hair! All of my installs look exactly the same so I didnt take any pictures! I cut the tapes in half this time. I think I like them better only using half of the tape. I was still able to put double and triple rows of wefts on the tape and fold the tape over the wefts and sandwich them into my hair. I like the feel of this far better than the full size tapes. I was going to secure with shrinkies on the ends and every couple of inches to anchor the tapes and make sure they were secure. I think it would help them to last longer and not slip...but Im not sure how this hair will wear, so I decided NOT to do the shrinkie anchors this time! I used LG (alone...no pro-tac Not sure what I think of the Pro-10 right now....looks pretty, but Im just not sure if Im going to like it. This stuff is just plain weird feeling...LOL And I have a feeling it might tangle easily....will keep you posted on the Pro-10. |

Plz do keep us posted. Ill probably be doing my Pro-10 install next weekend. Im going to use half of the tape also so Im glad you like it and it feels secure. Em ------------- SHE human hair blend, 18", #4 with Supertape. |

When you say you cut them in half, do you mean length ot WIDTH? I was
wondering if I could cut the width so they would only be like a 1/2 inch. ------------- Why not have a great hair day??? |

How do you double and triple row the wefts can someone explain this as I am not getting it? (feeling a little odd this morning) would appreciate it? |

yes I cut the tape in half. The tapes are 1&1/2 inch wide. I cut 1/2 of the width off leaving it 3/4 of an inch wide. I am concerned if these will slip laster than the full sized tapes and planned to anchor with shrinkies, but chose not to this time becuase Im not sure if I will like this hair....will see how it goes! But they seem to be as secure as the full sized tape. sassyhair...here is a photo of the placing the wefts on the tapes. I just put 2 or 3 rows of weft on each tape, with a little LG between the layers for security. I did test a double row the last install without the LG to secure the two layers together and it held fine, but I like the added security of bonding the layers together, especially the triple rows.

| actually ccross....I dont think Im gonna take pictures. To be totally honest, I HATE this hair! It feels way to *wigish* Hell I liked the feel of Wawa better than this stuff. Its a bit shiny too, the shine isnt too bad but I think it really looks FAKE....I am a bartender, so there are tons of mirrors at work and I just hated the way it looked everytime I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror today! And it is TANGLY as heck, its very difficult to brush or comb. Of course I wear my hair with curl, maybe if you are planning to wear the straight...straight it wouldnt be as tangly. And might comb out easier. I just might be doing a takedown tonight....or tomorrow! I really would like to give this hair a chance...to really review it...but I am so much NOT in love with this hair! |

I'm planning my next install with double wefts and wanted to figure out the best way to attach them together in a way that would keep them together even when I take them out. I was thinking maybe Crazy Glue? I'm afraid LG would show in my dark hair. I know the acetone used for the Chrissy V bond will break down the Crazy Glue, but I'm only using that for the top wefts. Do you think for my rows with the Pro-Tac that a little Crazy Glue between the wefts would work to hold them together? I also have E6000...maybe that? While I'm asking, Sherrie...with the Chrissy V, did you just put it along the bond and sandwich, or did you spread it down further onto the top of the wefted hair as well? You're a gem! Thanks so much for all your help. |

kristie, crazy glue or nail glue would probably work to hold them together....BUT...Im thinking the crazy glue would make the wefts very hard and stiff and probably not very flexible, so they might not form to your head well when installing with tapes. I just use a tiny bit of LG between the wefts. But if you are concerned with the LG being visable, I would suggest either using your ChrissyV glue to bond the wefts together...or... as a cheaper route, to not use up your expensive chrissyv glue use some dark latex glue, like proclaim or something from Sally's or any other BSS for about $1 Oh to answer your question, I just put the chrissv glue on the track, its a fairly thin glue so some of it will seep in and soak a little bit onto the hair as well as the track. Its not a realy thick glue like LG |

| You know, even tacky glue or any of the different glues that have been used for pretipping would probably work just as well for glueing two wefts together...so long as they dry clear and dont become stiff. But I think the proclaim/latex might be the best choice since it dries fast and you can get it in a dark color and will stay flexible...and its CHEAP! |

| Just do a quick sew on them. will take 5 minutes to sew the wefts together and you can cut the thread to seperate them later on. |

Kalika, I have the Elite Remy with the microbonded weft. Can a sewing
machine sew through that? Or is there a way to do it by hand? I read a post by Amm the other day that said that you can't sew through the microbond, but I'd sure like to sew them if I can. |

I think the microbond weft is so tightly woven that a needle won't go
through it. I like the idea of bonding with dark-colored latex. It sounds like the latex will hold up during take-downs and re-installations, but remain flexible. I've written down "Proclaim" will be heading to Sally's for a purchase. Thanks for all the good advice! |

nono not a machine, just do it by hand. sew around the wefts to hold them together. Seriously, takes 5 minutes. |

I agree with Kalika's idea to sew around the wefts. And would actually hold up in the long run better if you want the wefts to stay together during takedown and re-install. I think the pro-claim will work just fine and keep the wefts secure through your install but will probably loosen and come apart during takedown. And you would need to reglue them together to re-install. Even the wefts I glued together with LG, some came apart after takedown, when I pulled the tape off the wefts. By the way....I just took out the Pro-10 hair....I very much dislike it.... Did I say how much a dislike the Pro-10.... Another note....Although I know alot of people dont like the use of acetone. I took out the pro-tacs with acetone and OHMY...about 10 seconds per row...seriously! |

sherrie i wanna try the acetone to take out my pro tac do u use pure acetone? where did you get it? how much do you need? i tried oil and conditioner and it doesnt work for me i tried the orange oil remover it does work but my scalp was itchy after ------------- im a synthetic girl and i love plastikhaar |

| aimee you can get proffessional acetone at any beauty supply store. Find it where they have all the acrylic nail supplies. I think I usually use about 2/3 ounces per removal. But I buy it in quart size bottles for about $4. |

Ah drat Sherrie!! I had high hopes for the pro-10. Well Im going to try it anyway. I cant buy more hair for a couple of weeks, so even if the pro-10 lasts me that long it might be worth it. Besides, people are used to seeing me wearing wigs, so maybe the "wigish" look will work for me. I guess I could remove the bohyme that I have in now and re-install it with the tapes cut in half, but I really wanted the longer hair and I only have 1 weft of the bohyme and I wanted it thicker. Looks like Im going to have to bite the bullet and buy 2 wefts of bohyme. What was the deal with WAWA? It was such the rage a while back and I havnt read anything about it lately. Ya know Em...I still like the Wawa, for the price and I can get a months wear out of it, and it definitely feels better IMO than the pro-10. The only problem I have with the wawa...is that the color choice is so limited. Since I like weft installs, I have to hand blend a little #27 with #613 into lowlights and attach to the wefts to make a good color match. The 613 is too platinum alone and the wawa 27 is WAY to dark...and those are the closest 2 colors in the wawa selection! I ended up using Bohyme again this time...I just got done awhile ago! |

| It might work for you Emma....its decent thermal fiber. Some people like it some people hate it...like anything else (LOL). I thought about using it this time but didnt want to take the time to blend the colors and make pretips. The only things I disliked about the Wawa, is the bunchiness you tend to get with synthetic hair, I had to brush it out more freguently than hh.( I finally razored the heck out of the lower layers and that did help some)..and that fact that it wasnt soft like hh. Although steaming it did help to return it to a softer feel for a few days. Now that I have a shower filter installed it may make a difference in the way synthetic hair feels, which was why I decided to give the Pro-10 a shot...but I didnt like the feel of that from the get go...at least the wawa feels good from the start! |

Sherrie, you sound so much like me with this "feel" thing. The first thing I
do when I'm buying new clothes is to feel the fabric. I am so sensitive to anything that feels weird, funky, or scratchy. I love my synthetic wigs, but I have to say that the synthetic hair can drive me nuts sometimes. I always wear long bangs, and there is something pointy and scratchy about the ends of the synthetic hair that makes my eyes and face itch after a few hours. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the feeling of good human hair. Honestly, I can't keep my hands off my hair these days. I look like a teenager who is always fooling with her hair. |

| Gals, I concur. The Pro10 is an absolute horror. I could not get mine to curl, which is crucial for blending b/c I am a dolt with a razor. I had to wear it in a braid all week. I like the feel though but that is b/c it actually feels a lot like my own and behaves a lot like my own hair. But I don't want my own hair! So bye bye pro10! |
