I have a nappy thick hair and am using a softy bursh could i still get waves from using that bursh?

but the thing is when i use a hard bursh it hurt my scalp. so wut should i do?

1 more thing it only hurts when i just get a hair cut plus i have no wave at the back of my hair and the right sides?

My scalp is usually tender when I get a fresh cut also but when I have a fresh cut I use a soft brush for a couple days then use a med. or hard.

use a medium 4sho, i have nappy roots, which am trying 2 train to lay down. It will take tyme, but be patient
