I was wondering if men respond to you differently when you wear a natural as opposed to a weave? Or relaxed hair as opposed to natural?

I had a client that went from natural hair to a relaxer and she told me, men responded to her differently (they stepped to her alot more) has anyone ever experienced/noticed anything simmular? jc

Men look at me longer and more often when I have my hair blow dried straight instead of curly. (Which is only two to three times a year).

When my hair was short and natural, I would get compliments from people all the time....but I usually hang out in Little 5 Points and near West End...places that are famous for bohemian, natural, and Rastafarian type people.

I LOVED my hair natural, but I wanted longer hair and when it passed my shoulders, I couldn't handle it.

That's true, but I was just wondering in general. So the way you wear your hair really does have various affect on men, huh?

I get a lot more compliments when I wear my wig(growing real hair out) that is natural but looks real. It's call the jamaica girl wig that resembles a twist out. So it has that natural look and not the relaxed look. I hope i described that right.

i think men just like a well groomed woman. if your hair is raggedy, straight or natural, then of course you might experience less attention. but ladies just remember: dont let another's reaction to you define who you are, luv yourself always!

They look longer when it is straight, than when it is curly or in braids.

I think you have summed it up, "Well Groomed". I have worn twist, braids, had my hair short, long, pressed and relaxed. It's not the man it's the woman. If you know who you are, not arrogant & ignorant, confident you will attract attention from men, women and children.

I love it that you chose that kind of wig....I tell my cousin all the time (she's thinking of buying a long silky straight wig) that she should choose a wig that looks good and NATURAL for her...not just choose a wig that she thinks is cute by itself.

You want people to say "nice hair", not "nice wig".

No one knows I wear a wig unless I tell them! They all say, "nice hair, how can I get my hair to curl like that?"
