Is that from ebay?  If it is, I think that they are saying it is indian remy.

I have seen it before on ebay.

I can't read the box.  Yeah it's on ebay in silky straight Remi for 81.99 for 20".  I found it in Yaki for 89.99 for 16" on another site.  Just found it by random.

On ebonyline.com, it is 50 for 12", 110 for 18", and 150 for 20".  The box just says REMI HAIR.  I can't read the small print under it.

Yaki hair is usually hair that has been texturized to resemble African American hair that has been chemically (or heat) straightened. Yaki hair is either natural kinky hair that has been chemically relaxed (the hair I bought at EP was done this way) or by using other types of hair (Indian, European, Asian) that is texturized to acheive the same effect. Cheaper brands of Yaki hair is usually Aisan hair that has been way over processed to achieve the Yaki texture.. Most of this cheaper Yaki hair also has "filler" hair (synthetic or even animal hair) mixed in. I am not certain about this part, but I remember reading somewhere that the term Yaki for this kind of hair was due to the use of Yak hair as filler in some of the cheaper brands. Anyway, here's some definitions available online.

"Because the weave wearer would want the hair to match the texture of his/her hair in it's present condition (relaxed, curly, or straight), weave hair comes in a variety of textures: yaki (closely resembles relaxed African-American hair texture), silky (resembling very straight Asian hair), European straight (very loose waves), curly (ranges from tight corkscrew curls to the varying degrees of wavy), and crimped (very small, sharp waves)"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hair_weave - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hair_weave

"YAKI HAIR: Hair which has a slightly rough or coarse texture, like African American hair which has been chemically straightened. Hair may be soft to the touch, but appears as a very light kinky texture. Also called Kinky-Straight or Perm-Straight hair."
http://allaboutwigs.onthetop.com/allaboutwigsresults.asp/topic_GLOSSARY+OF+TERMS - http://allaboutwigs.onthetop.com/allaboutwigsresults.asp/top ic_GLOSSARY+OF+TERMS

"Yaki hair (not to be confused with Yak hair) has been chemically treated in order to achieve its unique finish. It is coarser than Silky hair and provides a closer match to straightened (relaxed, permed, blow dried, hot combed or pressed) Afro hair."

I know what yaki is. The listing said it was Silky Straight, not Yaki. Does anyone have any reviews on this product?

The hair is made by JBS "Remi Hair" I read about it today on the BHM.  They say it is too silky for yaki but not as silky as silky straight.

The person who has it listed has has a really great price on it!

that is correct. It is made by JBS, the same people that make Urban Beauty. My mom has used it (She didn't like it, said it was too silky). But I personally liked it alot. It matches silky/fine hair perfectly.

What hair type were you looking to match this hair to?
