It's 2 p.m. the day after the Academy Awards and no one has posted anything yet? I might as well get us started...

Uma Thurman - I don't know if it was the stage lighting, but Uma was the most beautiful presenter of the night.

Keira Knightly - I would have given her more points if her (fake) hair was down instead of in a ponytail. Gawd, what a beautiful face!

Nicole Kidman - She gets the bonus points I would have given Keira.

Jessica Alba - That wouldn't have been my choice of style for her gorgeous hair, but who can complain?

Jennifer Aniston - Look, I love Jen, but in some of those shots, she looked kind of plain compared to some of the others.

Jane Seymour - Inching shorter and shorter. Sigh...

Charlize Theron - She looked great from afar; not as great on some of the closups.

I thought she looked better at the luncheon:

Hillary Swank - Now that her hair is shorter, her teeth look longer.

Lindsay Lohan - WTF has happened to her? She looked drunk.

Wow Lohan when are you going to go back to red? She didn't look drunk to me.

Swank still looks great. I bit shorter but not as bad as Boys don't cry.

Theron looked a lot better then those other shots we were looking at. Up or down still looks good.

Jane Looks like she been keeping it mid back for awhile. Still looks great.

Jenn I liked her hair with curls better then stright. Still not bad but like her hair nartual.

The others can't say much I still miss Kidman red hightlights. She used to have them.

I feel there is not a lot to say about the oscars this time. Keira displayed her transcendent beauty (even if the hair was bland) and that was about it. The other celebs often looked tired and aging (mentioning no names!) I thought that Naomi Watts did succeed in looking cute.

Kidman really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really  needs to go back to some shade of red.  Some body and curl would not hurt either.  That blond color she continues to sport just washes her out.  Otherwise she looked great in her dress.

I like Theron as a dark blond and she seems to be a chameleon each time she changes both hair color and syle.  Thurman for once did not look gaunt.  She was rather stunning.

Alba looked lovely - the subtle gold highlights in her hair worked with her dress.  Knightly was striking with the lighter hair.  Hope she does not go too light, she does not need it.

Maggie Gyllenhal looks old and matronly in this updo and brown dress.   Isn't she only in her twenties???  I am just not a fan of brown clothing.  This color only looks ok on UPS delivery workers.

And while I love the color of her dress (the detail work on it was wonderful), Jennifer Lopez really needs to ease up off that makeup bronzer:

Her updo looked quite classy though.

Here was very striking yet natural looking Jennifer Jason-Leigh.  The hair color is flattering and the style just works for her:

And where as Jason-Leigh was young ang flattering with her natural look, I felt Rachel Weisz could have benefitted from both more glamorous makeup and maybe some color in her evening gown.  She always seems to be in black.

Can't really find fault with Reese Witherspoon, although I am not fond of her dress.   But her modest updo was very complimentary:

Did not care for the hairstyle Michelle Williams had.  She had a lovely 'style' dress but hers was a lesson in that if you're going to wear tangerine orange, dark red lipstick really is not appropriate.  A warmer peachy bronze-ish color might have worked out better:

Someone else too fond of the bronze skin paint:

I didn't really feel there were any standouts this year. Some updos
looked polished and glamorous (Reese), others looked a bit odd
(Michelle Williams) or boring (Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Aniston) or
unconditioned (Sandra Bullock) or just plain unfinished (Kiera) but no
one had a style so stunning, it made my heart skip a beat. Bummer.

The only person I can think who came close was the on-stage escort
who walked the winners off, the woman in the white dress, whose hair
looked gorgeous, full and curly, but she never got a close-up and I
don't know her name. In my world, she upstaged all the stars!

I have to agree with most of you!

I really think Nicole should go back to her natural red curly tresses! I'm a natural redhead, and I recieve many compliments;)

Plus I thought the Oscars was missing out by not having Natalie Portman, I know,..I'm biased, because Natalie always looks polished,no matter what her hair looks like.

I like Jen Aniston too, but what's up with her hair?

Kierea Knightly looked pretty, but she should've stuck with her cool short(punk like) hair, please, no more extensions!!!!

 Love, Katie;)

Note to self...I really don't like the messy, up-do styles that 9o% wore at the Oscars.  If that happens next year don't watch.

I also agree with most people.  I think Keira Knightly is always gorgeous but thought she looked lovely in spite of her hair and makeup - not because of it.  Salma Hayek stood out for me.  I guess I kind of like Nicole Kidman's pale washed out look and fine hair.  Messy updos don't really do much for me.
