After last weeks breakage extravaganza lol Im
relieved to say that its stopped and i think the teeny
tiny trim helped alot! i was set back about a quarter
of an inch on the sides and front and i trimmed a
good half inch in the back cuz those ends were
looking torn up ,, anyway i was wondering becuz i
had used V05 hot oil for the 2 weeks that i had that
yucky breakage and do u think that could have been
a cause , Im phobic of that stuff now!! also i laid off
the Emergencee and used K-pak which is gentler
and it strengthened without drying my hair and
causing breakage...
------------- Hair type: 3b some c?, fine strands, last relaxer sept 05, never again!!! current :ap length on sides,,nearly bsl in back, damn those old frazzled ends! I am hair OBSESSED

Oh no, I think it could've been the VO5. Did you happen to read the ingredients? Most of the time store bought hot oil treatments such as Suave, Tresseme, V05....etc. have other things added to it that aren't pure oils. I used a Suave hot oil treatment years ago because I didn't know any better and that thing left my hair so dry! My hair had never been that dry. I've been scared of hot oil treatments ever since then. I think if you were to ever do a hot oil treatment again you should use some pure oils like olive, jojoba, shea butter....etc. I'm going to try one using castor oil soon. Glad to hear your hair is back on track though!

That's funny, I don't think Id ever felt any dryness while using VO5 Hot Oil. I usually don't get any effects, but I think I'm more safe than sorry using it. I used Essential Oils for a hot oil treatment and my hair was pretty soft.. I enjoyed it thorougly. Better than Vo5, however, I don't think I'll loose all hope in it yet!

hmmm, i dunno ,, it may have been a protein
overload in part due to the hot oil ,,, when i read
reviews on makeupalley.com for the v05 hot oil,, i
must say they were AWFUL,, most people
complained of dryness,, and Pokahantas you are so
right ,, there actually is NO real oil in the v05 hot oil
though the ingredients still do not look bad,,
