I've been noticing a lot of chicks with relaxed colored hair that seems to be pretty maintained(no signs of damage).  How is this possible?  I thought coloring only lead to damage on relaxed hair.

Its possible, I think it just requires more upkeep. More moisture, more protein treatments, more deep conditioning etc..

I'm guessing these ladies are getting professional color treatments. Most people that do it at home don't get those results. Even if it turns out fine in the begining, over time it will tell on most (that don't know what they are doing). Going darker and rinses seem to come out fine, but highlights and overall (lighter colors) will tell on most women. If you've ever seen bad color jobs...you know what I mean. Much props to those that get that professional job, and even those that can get it right at home, but if you want color, don't know what you are doing, and don't have money for up keep/maintence, please...don't do it!
