I have some excess glue on some of my wefts, I am trying to clean them
off, I've been rubbing acetone, right on the top of the weft, but it's really
hard to get off! I have to pick and pick at it!

The glue I used seems sort of latex-y. It's flexible, not like superglue type
of glue that gets hard.

Is there some method that's easier?

Also, does LG dissolve away with use of acetone?

Try oil chick, or maybe you need to crunch the glue with pliers after you've put acetone on it, I'd try that first before the oil x

I've found that acetone totally melts LG. Like a dream.

I had some in a while ago and didn't like the colour of the extensions so I removed them virtually straight away. The LG didn't stand a chance once the acetone got near it!

Hmm...It's just not, crunchy....It's sticky and gooey-ish. It's not LG, it's
something different. I don't know how to explain it.

Sounds like latex to me.Was it salon pro by any chance? I used that brand.Luckily I only used it to bond wefts together. I know it wont break down with clamps.I never used acetone on it.Maybe there is a remover for that specific type of glue.Surely there is since it sticks to hair so well. Those wefts I used it on still have that glue on them.I tried oil,heat...heat and oil.I tried picking it out but gave up shortly since it seemed to tedious.I didnt try much else cause the hair was expendable.Maybe someone whose worn wefts or other with latex can put in there two cents.

The SPECIFIC reason I hate latex glue (well besides the fact that it doesnt hold worth a sh!t)

Try some of the remover shampoo. All you can do it just keep working it. Latex is a pain to get it all off the wefts. And you may not be able to *completely* get rid of the stickiness from the track area.

Yeah, I think it's latex too. I've gotten most out, just tedious work, but it
held almost too well!! I couldn't find any remover shampoo anywhere, just
conditioner. Those wefts I actually glued in, so I'm hoping when I take out
the pro-tacs there isn't much of this glue on them.

So do you guys like LG better? I would like to use something with the
protacs as a back up. And something small I could keep on hand to do
quick touch ups if the weft starts sliding....

Yes I like LG better. But with you darker hair the LG may not be a good option. Ive heard the LG tends to look yellowish as it dries in dark hair. In my first protac takedown I had used LG to touch up where the protac started sliding and had a b!tch of a time getting the tapes out of my hair. I'll never use LG in combination with the protac tape again, except to secure my wefts together between the tape.

Take a small snip off the corner of a bonding strip, fold it in half so it's sticky on both sides and put it under the already installed tape that's lifting on the edge. That should pull ya through the remainder of that install. :)

Oooo....Amm, Sherrie, good to know.

Ok, no LG for me!

I will either try what Amm mentioned, or just keep doing what I was doing
with the glue I used. (I took out the top protac only a few days after install
because it was showing, and it just slid right out with no problem. So if
the rest follow....)

Otherwise, these things are holding in tight! I think I have to take them
out before any fall out because my hair is growing and they are kind of
too far down for me.

But my head itches like crazy sometimes! That's the first thing I am going
to do when I get them all out! I'm going to look a like a monkey for about
20 minutes after my takedown!
