Hi,
1. What effect good or bad, does humidity have on wavy hair? Please be specific.
2. I have read that you should NOT apply conditioner to the roots area of your head as it builds up and causes a 'greasy' look...and....your natural 'oils' are at the root area so conditioner is not needed here. Is this correct?
Thanks a lot for responses in advance!

I find humidity makes my hair frizzy, I have very dry hair and tend to wash only when it looks like it needs it. I wash my hair more in conditioner only than shampoo, I apply leave in conditioner everyday. I have not found a built up, sure helps with the shine though.

Hi, I have wavy hair and humidity makes my hair FRIZZ, and then shrink up shorter.  What I usually do if I am away from home, I'll use some hand lotion that's in my purse and gently wipe a little onto my frizz and that helps tame the frizz.

You really shouldn't put conditioner right onto the roots, or any hair product, b/c the that would impede the hair from growing.  And, you are right, your hairs natural oils come from the root and you would be suffocating them.
