Hi!

I've just dyed my hair tonight, just my roots and then combed down the lengths for the last 10 minutes, with a natural medium brown (after I'd been using the light ash brown to both counter red and stop my hair going black on my whole head, for the last few months).
The results are great - sure, my hair isn't light brown like I originally sought, but I'd had 2-tone hair for way too long and I'm content with medium/dark brown for the moment.  It looks natural too, all even colour.

All I've been doing recently is using a Fudge One Shot hair treatment after showering, that balances porousity, and I've conditioned and really looked after my hair for ages now...so it my hair didn't go black!
Last time I did the exact same thing but with the light brown and for some unknown reason my hair went black on dyed hair and didn't touch the roots.

Thankfully my roots blend well now, and I've even been left with some nice subtle highlights of lighter and darker brown - I only used Clairol Nice N Easy.

Thanks for all your help guys..
