Hey everyone....just wanted to post a pic I took of my hair today. It's the March progress pic.
Just washed, air-dryed and no leave in (was about to henna!) I am not noticing any growth (visually) in this pic as compared to last month and even January....but it sure is looking healthy and it feels really nice Anyone else have any progress pics to share for this month? -------------

Hi Rini, I think your hair looks a little longer than the Jan pic. God I love your color!! I wish a had a natural wave like yours too! I know you keep telling me to henna my hair red but I am too scared that I won't like it as much as blond and it has been a long process just to get my hair back to blond. I should just go to a wig shop and try on some red wigs! Anyway, I think you hair is looking fabulous! I bet it will be bra strap length by this time next year. Just don't touch the scissors!!! Even though you don't like the look of your ends it would be such a shame to cut your ends when you say that they feel really silky and are not split or damaged. I am kind of going through something similar - I want to grow out my layers so I should cut my length every month so the layers can catch up, but the length is so healthy I just don't want to do it! If you ends are healthy then try as hard as you can to leave them alone because your hair looks great! |

I've never tried Henna, just my twin sister has. My hair is still growing out about 2 inches above my shoulders. If I were you Rini, I'd be soooo Happy!!;) ------------- God Bless,... Katie |

Rini, if your hair is 22" like that, it's probably actually more like 22 1/2 inches or so completely straight. Your hair is the same length as mine. LET'S RACE! ------------- Hair type: who knows? Length: 23 inches as of 3/10/06 MY HAIR IS OFFICIALLY BRA STRAP LENGTH!! Goal: Waist Length, which is only 30 inches so ADVISE ME ON HOW TO GET JUST 7 MORE INCHES OF GROWTH! |

And you've got healthy hair so I think you can leave the ends for a while longer if you want, because they don't look at all scraggly like they need cutting, they look delibrate. Posted By: SpecialKitty

Thank you thank you thank you thank you Tyranna....my shortest layers would now be at about chin length, although it's hard to see individual layers in my hair...but occasionally they do stick out! I also have the horrid fine shortie bits around my ears and nape which I've always had and I don't believe will ever grow :( -------------

Hey Rini shortie bits do grow, they just seem to take ages! Your ends look like mine always do, maybe it's a curly hair thing? Mine are feeling great at the moment but I'm finding it hard to resist trimming them too. Your hair looks gorgeous (as always!) truely bonza

snow, hailstones and rain alternating on an hourly basis - my poor hair doesn't know what to do with itself (apart from frizz obv.). The snow was fun though |

Ah, half your luck! I was born on totally the wrong continent. I've spent my whole life in hot, dry heat when I've really been wanting cold snow! I think I'm a Northern hemisphere girl stuck in the southern hemisphere. Ladyfrog....she's out here for the Commonwealth Games....because she is rather "fond" of us colonists Anyway...back on topic.....so doesn't anyone else have a progress pic to post??? -------------

100% Natural redhead, it does go lighter in summer. I'm thinking of using henna though, Rini's hair looks so fantastic and healthy...if it works so well for her, I might just give it a go. ------------- |

Okay...I have a few now. One with braid waves and one after an air dry that I took a few minutes ago.
Here are the braids:

This is the air dry pic, no product except a leave-in. I combed the waves out as it dried...they just look scruffy anyway. 
I was at 27.5" on February 18, and I'm just past 28" today. So not a whole lot of growth, but February's a short month and I was writing exams for 3 weeks...just a bit stressed. ------------- |

Special Kitty, I LOOOVE the two french braids. They take a little bit of patience to put in by myself, but they're so easy. I leave them in for a few days at a time... Just sleep with a silk PJ top tied around my head (works better than just my pillow case for preventing frizzies).
And then you can take them out and it's perfect "going out" hair, no heat products required. The faux bob was very interesting...I'm going to see if I can get it to stay in and where it to school sometime. Too bad April Fool's is a Saturday. ~Holly ------------- |

It's cool, when you compare your faux bob to your November 2002 picture in your signature it looks virtually the same! I say, go out and trick a few friends Now, I'm off to do those two french braids. Hope my hands don't fall asleep..... -------------
