My name is Jahrell my hair is naturally curly but when i take my braids out it does not curl up i want to make ity wavy and smooth any suggestions i just got braids in january so its not that long should i hotcomb it or what help will be appreciated

Without adding chemicals.......

 

I would say, when your hair is just washed and towel dried, moisturize it and put a big scarf on it and let it dry flat. That used to work on my very kinky hair (before I texturized). The parts of your hair that's below the scarf will still dry curly.

Another option is to learn to set it on large rollers.

You can try using the scarf method and a soft hold gel (i.e. Fantasia IC Hair Styling Gel with Sparkle Lites) and use the gel on damp hair.  Purchase the smallest container available.
