Hi-- I have pubic-length dark reddish brown hair, but two major sections have been knotted HORRIBLY. I had it in a ponytail, ignored it for a week, and this was the result. I think the hair absorbed the perspiration on my back, and then curled up onto itself. So far, nothing works, just hair by hair detangling, and alot of that even breaks off. A FOOT of hair is in a tight 1x1x3 knot on the left, and the right is looser, but big, a foot of hair in a 1 x2x4 softer knot. 1). Has anyone really had success getting them out? 2)Is the hair ruined afterwards? Should I keep trying? Last week I spent @30 hours at it...I will keep at it IF I can just hear that it WILL work!!! This is so awful...I don`t want to lose this, AND it`s hair from the back, so it would be REALLY noticeable. Thanks! ~Distraught

Thats terrible! Have you tried putting an oil in it? I haven`t had any rats nests like that since I was a girl, but I think my mom put olive oil on it before trying to pick it apart. It`s a ***** to wash out afterwards, but it makes the hairs more slippery and easier to slid by each other. Good luck, I hope you dont have to cut it!
