I was just wondering what you girls are going to do in the summer time with the Pro-Tac, if you want to go swimming and such? Or do you think the tape would hold up?

This Protac girl doesn't sun or swim. My guy likes me pale-skinned, the
paler the better...so I stay away from the beach and only go in pools
wearing a hat, covered with 50 SPF sunscreen, and never getting my hair
wet.

wow. WOW. Haha.
I'm the exact opposite. Summer is my time, I spend every moment I can
outside, at the lake, or even by a window
As for me, I was planning on leaving my extensions in when I went to the
water parks in wisconsin dells, but the hair was such a rat's nest that I
had to take it out. So I don't know how it will work out.
I am sure I will have my protacs in and go to the lake, I think it will be
fine. Pools are all I'm really concerned about because of the cholrine, but
I'm going to try that Shampoo-3 because it helps my natural hair with
chlorine so why not the extensions?
Anyways, if worse comes to worse, I can't give up my summer-girl
attitude, in Chicago, you have to appreciate the summer, and, my
apartment doesn't have AC, so I spend those hot days in the lake. So I'll
either switch back to my microlinks or just go with clip-ins when I go out.
I really think those things will stay though, I mean, they make it through
my marathon shower sessions!!

hahaha Ya, I am a summer girl as well. I love summer and swimming, and I was very curious what the rest of you girls are planning to do during the hot months I can definately see the hair turning into a rats nest though, which I'm not looking forward to.

I know the feeling!! I am worried that my hair will all of a sudden fall off when I am swimming in the pool. Can anyone say floatin rat?? Pool season starts here in about a month, earlier if we get the warm weather they are predicting. My neighbor has an indoor pool, and I may have to do a test run in her's to see if the tapes fall apart. I'll keep everyone updated.

Yeah, I think if you are careful with it, it will be okay. Probably if I go to
the beach or in the pool I will just do the 2 braids that I do when I go to
sleep. Because normally, it's SO WINDY and sand just whips all over the
place (you will seriously find sand in places that you didn't know existed
like 3 days later!) So I could see having chunks of sand stuck in my pro-
tacs, but, I will get that out.
If you just take good care of it, I'm sure it wont be a problem.

I'm like you, Kristie M. I stay out of the sun! I would be more concerned with the chlorine frying the extension hair than making the protac come out, though. Remember, there is chlorine in your tap water.

That would really suck lol. I don't plan on any wefts this
summer, since I imagine the strand by strand is much cooler. You
could secure your wefts installed with protac with a few
micro-rings........that way even if it would come out in the water it
should stay in until you get home.
