Which hairstyle for a male would make a long jaw look smaller?

Not sure what you mean by long jaw.  Long face shape?  Prominent chin?  Recessed chin?

hair that is a little longer, like down to your chin would de-emphasize a long jaw.  If you hair is shorter than chin length, it would show your jaw more.

To make a long face look shorter, the ear length bob is the best style (I have a long face too and even though I hated that style on me, it did make my face look shorter).  A male can wear this length of hair, but if you want something even shorter I would just go for something that didn't add height on top of your head - no length on top like spiked up hair or anything.

(Just a brief note to say we all look different and we should celebrate those things that make us look different, not all go for the typical oval perfection the beauty industry tries to get everybody to do so that they need to buy a haircut).

I totally agree with Susan's post, don't have a hairstyle that has height on top.  This might sound kookie, but draw a couple of  pictures of a long cirle (which would be your face shape) maybe longer on one end for your jaw.  Then add fake hairstyles around the circles and see for yourself what looks like it fits best for a long face.

Goodluck!
