I want to put hair extentions in because my hair has been falling out...im 20..why its falling out i still have to figure out.  My hair is thinner and I want it fuller toward the lower half of my hair (not my scalp area)

Are there clip in hair extentions that I can reuse?  I think I saw someone posting on that...  Do these hair extentions cause damage to my hair?  Where can I purchase them?  Fill me in!

Thanks!

I wouldnt advise ANY type of hair extension untill you go to a doctor and find out why your loosing your hair.

Hey, i could not help to notice your hair colour (nice shade of platinum girl!:D) could it be that the bleach made it break of?

Overprossesing with bleach and getting it on previous bleached hair can be devestating for the hair O.o, what is your maintenance regime? do you use plenty of conditioning treatments?

Clip ins is resuable, and if you buy hair that is of good quality they can last you a few years...^^ But Please go to your doctor first...cause your scalp may not be able to handle the weigth of the extensions, causing further more hairloss (traction aloplecia)

Yeah, I have to agree with Kalika and Moff, the weight may cause more
hair to fall out. Once you figure out everything, then I would say clip-ins
would work out well for you.

Thanks for your replies!  moff, my hair isnt that platinum, it's just the flash of the camera =) ...I've been to the doctor and she thinks it may be stress or change of medication....

...but I'd still like to get my blood work done to see if there is anything wrong with my throid.

OH but I want to use these extentions NOW!

I hear ya girl.
Hang in there. I'm sure you'll find out what's causing the hair loss and will
be able to fix it. If your blood work comes back normal and you don't know what the cause is, there's a company called "Regenix"

http://www.regenix.com/

It's gotten rave reviews so it might be worth a try.

You guys are sweet.  What if I wore them on occasions...like a few hours, one night, once or twice a week?  Safe?

Aaawh thanks girl!^^ huum  guess it could be allrigth on occasion...but i would not risk if  where you, if you wait for the bloodtest to get trough you at least know what your dealing with...but waiting sucks!:D i had my hair pretty short for a while ago...i almost died of boredom waiting for my hair to be long enough to put in extensions:P i feel ur pain :P

Does your hair come out when you combe it? like much? if you tugg lightly, does hair come out? if thats the case your hair is weak at the roots and will not be able to handle the stress of extensions.. So my advise is just wait a bit, it would be so much sweeter when you finnaly get them!:D

Just be very careful. Clip ins do stress the hair lots. Maybe try a few hours
at first and see how it works, if you are insisting on using them. See how
much you lose, and how they feel. Just start out easy. Try not to wear
ones that are too long and heavy and stuff too.

I definately would caution against *any* kind of extension for you until your
hair stops falling out. If its still actively shedding a lot then any method is
probably going to be bad news for you.
Have you thought about an integration system, or playing around with fun
wigs? I know thats what I'd do, it would give me an excuse to buy all the
wigs I'm constantly eying :)
