On the press wires from March 7th - Jade Jagger Wears Racoon Hair Extensions

Style icon and designer, Jade Jagger, has become the latest in a line of great celebrity names to start wearing Racoon Hair Extensions. Working with her session stylist, Alex Foden (who also styles Joss Stone and Holly Valance), Racoon has created a subtle highlighting and volumising effect to Jade’s enviously gorgeous long locks.

“I’ve coloured Jade’s hair many times but it never stays the colour she wants so she agreed to try Racoon extensions and now loves the effect they have produced! She keeps them looking their best by using the Racoon-Xtend aftercare range and especially loves the new Deep Conditioning Hair Mask as it keeps the extensions and her own hair moisturized and looking amazing,” says Alex Foden.

Alex applied soft caramel highlights to the front of Jades hair to get that all year round, sun-kissed look and two rows of highlights underneath at the back to create subtle volume and colour when her hair moves.

Racoon is the celebrity’s favourite choice and was behind the new-look Sharon Obsourne bob, other celebrity fans include Kelly Osbourne, Denise Van Outen and Jenny Frost.

**************************************************Any thoughts or reactions?

I personally find it interesting how many celebrities are now coming out to talk about their extensions and actually what brand they are.  A few years ago, celebrities didn't seem to want to even own up to wearing extensions, let along the type.

Hey Star,

It may be possible that Jade is getting paid by Raccoon to advertise that she is wearing those extensions.  Or maybe her stylist Alex has a deal with Raccoon to get his clients to talk about it.  How knows.

Robert Hallowell put Geena Davis' hair which is chin length in a very long style (he used SoCap hair) and then he told me not to advertise that she had extensions.  Which I gave him hell about because...DUH...her hairstyle went from short bob to waist length pony.  The public is very savvy to this unless they are drunk or blind.

But Jessica Simpson doesn't care if people know she wears extensions all the time.  Regardless of the style she is wearing.  She also wears tons of wigs and half wigs.

Racoon is just a brand like great lengths, pro styles etc.  They offer 3 different types of hair - synthetic, standard human hair and euro hair.  Their euro hair is fabulous to work with but very expensive.  I have spoken to Mr Holloway (owner) through email before and admire his efforts and dedication to his company.  Like i say though the european hair really expensive imo but i would still recommend them.

When you say European, does that mean Russian or Italian or some other origination?

Karen - I agree, she seems to be overly promoting them in her comments

European probably means Italian.  Probably not Russian which is outrageously expensive.

Hi Elle, They don't specifically state a region of where its gathered but from my experience with Russian hair, the batches ive had are deffo not russian.  I think you are right it may be italian.  Here is some euro hair from them here....

This was only 2oz in 12".

Hi Shel,

She may be "working for them" unofficially to help promote.  She has always been very savvy at selling herself as a pitchwoman so I would not be surprised that she didn't work a deal.  Either they paid her to promote them or they traded her some giveaway deal whereas she may have gotten them in exchange for letting them use her name.

Most celebs will not let a company use their name without paying or having express permission in writing, sealed and stamped and exchanged with a pint of blood.  :-)

You would not believe what I am asked to "donate" to celebs but am told in no uncertain terms that if I send it and they wear it I can't say that it is from HairBoutique.com unless the celeb voluntarily says it by themself.  I get asked for hair accessories for celebs all the time but usually am resistant to send them unless there is some benefit for HB.com.

Yes...its weird but that's how it works.  :-)

So I agree....she is probably hooked up in some way.
