My hair line is falling out. The lady who bradied my hair made it really tight so my mother loosened them for me. But they are stull falling out and to me it looks weird. What can I do to make my hair line grow as much as the rest of my hair again?? I was wondering if I should buy the Organic Root Stimulator Serum but I'm not sure if it would work. Any one have any Ideas? ------------- Hair Type- 4a/b *transitioning front of my head* Length-ranges from 5-7 inches =) Products- Garnier Fructis S & S Poo, Lustrasilk Shea Butter Mango Conditioner and Cantu-Leave in =) |

I found that regularly oiling my sides with WGO (which contains coconut, olive and jojoba oils) seems to help. Sorry to hear about the hair loss. It must feel very frustrating for you but with our hair we learn from experience and then use that knowledge for the future! ------------- Natural 10 years 3b/4a armpit length hair |

Sorry to hear that Deexox....Yeah braids will tend to do that. What you can do for now one is to leave the edges out when styling persay. You can use ORS Serium or Fertilizing Balm, WGO, Surge, or Natural oils like: T-tree oil, Jojoba Oil, Olive oil, pepperment oil ect. (you can get those from a Herb shop or Natural food stores). Huhmm also products that stimulate the scalp helps out with the hairline/edges as well. | I would lay off the braids for about 6 months or more. Then baby your edges for a while. You can try the suggested method from posters listed. |

| deexox, what everyone has mentioned as a method works great, I use the same stuff. I have never tried ORS, but I had my hair line break off from braids. I would suggest giving the braids a rest for a while too, and massage your hair line everyday gently with jojoba oil or olive oil. I also use sulfur8 on my hairline twice a day and on my scalp occasionally cause its heavy, I have gotten results within a few days, I could feel baby hair on my edges growing back and my roots were getting stronger. Sulfur really helps for me! Let is know how things go... |

deexox I agree, give you hair at least 3 months worth of rest from braids - and when you rebraid never, ever sit and let a stylst braid your hair to tight. I'm heavy handed and I constantly ask, "am I braiding to tight". Also try to keep your braids no longer than 4" longer than your hair if you plan on wearing them any length of time. Anything longer, between the dry weight of the hair and friction you're almost guaranteed hair loss and forget when you wash your hair/braids. They become 3x as heavy, pulling on your hair. and like to wear braids and don't want to wait do the front in cornrows or twist so the baby fine hairs won't carry all the weight alone and spray, spray, spray. I prefer a mix of Better Braids & Infusium 23, day & night.Posted By: Vanity3
